Q: I watched my laundry cycle. My rinse cycle is only 13 minutes. So according to Lysol my clothes are not sanitized. If I pause the load the water will eventually start to drain. Any suggestions?

Q: do you use this with your regular detergent or by itself
A: Lysol Laundry Sanitizer should be used in conjunction with laundry detergent. Wash cycle additives such as stain remover can also be used. Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is formulated to be used in the rinse cycle without additional additives, such as fabric softener. Lysol Laundry Sanitizer provides a limited softening effect.

submitted bylilagage - 6 years agoA: That is the wrong way, you are wasting money. It is only effective in the rinse cycle and must be in the rinse cycle for 16 minutes. Those are the detailed directions.

Q: Do I STOP the rinse cyle with clothes submerged in water, put it in and let clothes soak for 16 minutes and push start on the cycle once the 16 minutes is up? OR, just put it in and let it be?

Q: Would this product be effective if I added it to the drum of the washer by itself, agitated, then stopped and let it soak, then let it rinse. Then did a SECOND wash with detergent alone?
A: Please someone explain why it must be in the rinse cycle? What is the science behind this? Same could be accomplished by method described above--just soak over 16 minutes alone before or after rinse
submitted byKata - 4 years agoA: It is best to follow the usage instructions for the best results. Allow for clothes to be washed by your detergent first, then add Lysol Laundry Sanitizer directly to the rinse cycle. You can let it soak for 15 minutes.

Q: When adding this to the wash, does it also sanitize or disinfect the washing machine?

Q: How do I add it to the rinse cycle? My building has big commercial washers. I don't think it says which cycle it's in, and I don't think I can stop it once it's started.
