A: I think it may be hidden under "modified food starch". When they say "food" instead of the specific starch source, it could be from wheat.

A UK candy favorite finally available in the US
The originals from the M&S in England were so addictive. You could polish off a whole bag without batting an eye. Sadly, they changed the formula to get rid of gelatin which changed the consistency and taste, but were still yummy. The English version uses boysenberry as their "secret" fruit flavor. When I saw they were available in the US, I ran to Target and bought 3 bags, but when I tore into it, not the same. The US version consistancy is more chewy where as the UK ones were a little stiffer. Looked at the ingredients in the US version and saw that the main flavor in these were grape. A friend brought me back some from England and I compared the two and you could tell the difference in the flavors. They were both good, but just not the same as the original.
