Pros: This color is truly gorgeous and very pigmented. And I love how it leaves a bit of a lip stain after the color comes off. Very soft and moisturizing. Cons: Transfers as soon as you wipe your mouth, eating, drinking, kiss, etc. But this won't stop me from buying, in the future. Also, have the mini in the color Everybody's Herionne. Love that 1 as well. I'd love more shades of Purple

Velvet Teddy is the first shade I ever used and its a classic. I am now trying out the different nude shades. I like creme de nude. I do find it to be moisturizing however it is not long wearing.

I bought this color along with the Chestnut lip liner as a result of an add on Facebook. It looks great on me. While I am not a fan of mattes because they look dry on me, this lipstick is great on older women. It doesn't emphasize the lines one tends to get and smooths out an "wrinkle" your lips may have as a result of dry skin or just age. I highly recommend it with the lip liner.

I bought this lipstick thinking it was a new and improved formula of an old favorite Mocha. The online description and photos show the same pretty muted color I know Mocha to be but the new shade Cafe Mocha is bright and leans towards peach/coral certainly not mauve at all. I'm not sure I would even call it pink. It's completely different and very unflattering on my complexion. the formula seems nice and goes on evenly and I love the new packaging hence the 2 stars. the color is terrible I wish I could return it.

Let me preface this by saying I have loved Mac lipsticks, particularly the shade formerly known as Twig for years! I still have a tube of Twig but it has gone bad and I wanted to replace it. Bought Twig Twist which has the same photos and description as the old color. It is completely DIFFERENT! and not in a good way. It turns my lips hot pink as it wears off. It used to be a pretty, muted dark plummy pink but now it is bright and terrible on my complexion. I'm so sad I really hate it and wished I had returned it. Just beware if you are buying based on description or names that look familiar. I guess you need to go to a store and see them. On the positive side, nice new packaging. Really luxe

I was looking for a red lipstick that would look good on my very fair, cool skintone. MAC was recommended to me over & over again so I picked up Russian Red & I love it. So rich & pigmented & doesn't look drying on my lips (but definitely looks matte). It definitely bleeds & does not wear off evenly (not food/drink transfer proof). I ordered a lip liner in a similar color + gloss to help the color look a little more natural. But the good news is that i was able to reapply where the lipstick had faded & it looked just like a new application. Overall would recommend - but you need to exfoliate first & watch out for feathering. If you want a pop of color - MAC is definitely the brand for you.

Don't believe the photos. Like all Mac nudes over the last several years, ActING Natural is very warm-toned and does not work as a nude shade on fair skin. This is nothing like the old "ACT Natural" shade that Mac discontinued - which used to be the perfect natural nude shade for fair skin. In general, I don't like Mac's reformulated "silky" mattes. This new "matte" has less pigment and doesn't last. It slides right off of your lips after one bite of food.

Mac lipsticks have been my favorite lip staple for years now. They feel so great putting on, they arent sticky, and the colors are truly perfect. The only con that I can think of is that it can come off pretty easily when drinking and eating, but that happens with most lipsticks. Taupe and velvet teddy are the colors that are best for me and match with nearly all outfits.

I absolutely love this lipstick! I love that they brought back the 90s shade folio. The matte formula lasts all day and grayish nude color pairs perfectly with my carbon and discotheque eyeshadows. MAC lipsticks are my fave and their formulas are always amazing!!
