I am a dedicated MAC girl. But what a disappointment this primer was. It's like applying wax to my lips. Then neither lip liner nor lipstick goes on smoothly or with definition. As for helping feathering, pretty bad at that too. This is one to avoid.

I was told to apply this before using my lipstick. I needed to wait a little until it got sticky on my lips and then apply lipstick and it would hold. It never got sticky and my lipstick disappeared much faster than before I used the product. Waste of money.

So far, Prep+Prime Lip Primer is my favorite primer. I have an auto-immune disorder and cannot wear most products. I am prone to bad contact allergies that will last 10 days at a time, and this is one product that I can wear. If I get it beyond my lips, my skin will react, but if I keep it where it's supposed to be, I'm fine. It does not have a fragrance and works better than Anastasia in terms of eliminating that ugly feathering that women of a certain age experience. It's a good product!

This makes my lipstick go on way more smoothly than using a regular lip balm underneath. It helps it stay on longer, without creasing, caking or getting patchy. It's not dry like another brand I've tried. I used it with any brand of lipstick not just MAC.

This does not plump at all. It moisturizes, makes lipstick go on smoother & possibly last a little longer. Helps lipstick stay in place. Basically the same benefits as using any chapstick except you get it in the pretty, slim tube & it says MAC on it so its visually appealing.

I've always had a problem with dry lips no matter what lip balm I've tried and hated that my lipstick never looked smooth. I saw a recommendation for this product by a makeup artist and I'm so thankful! My lipstick application looks so much better now and what's even better is that the condition of my lips has improved. So now I even wear it alone, especially before bed. I will forever repurchase!

Started using since last year. I used to be loyal to another brand for about 8 years and switched to Mac after the other product degraded in quality and would fall apart. The price for Mac is higher but I only have to apply once and I’m good. I’m so happy it’s available at Target now. I wear matte lipstick and sometimes gloss, and the product does not move around.
