A: The added sugar comes from the starch of the oats. The digestive enzymes break down the starch into simple sugars. We're required by the FDA to include it as an added sugar because it is being created

A: I googled it and this is the answer it gave: “The "added" sugar in most oat milks comes from an enzymatic process where enzymes break down the oats' natural starches into simpler sugars like maltose during production, which is then counted as an "added" sugar even though no external sweetener was used.”

Yum!
Tastes good, healthy, and isn’t thick, so it’s great for drinking and cereal! Ignore the bad reviews! they’re used to oat milk with lots of terrible, unnecessary ingredients. It is a little expensive, but that’s the price you pay for clean ingredients. I’m very picky, and I enjoy it!

Strong Oat Flavor
Clean option, which is why I purchased, but after tasting it, I discarded it. The oat flavor is stronger than I would like. It is thinner because there are no additives, but I expected that and it does not bother me. I prefer the Oatly Super Basic Oatmilk, but it is not always in stock.

Clean for toddlers
A lot of the reviews on here seem to forget that this drink doesn’t have oil or gum therefore it won’t be creamy . I give this to my toddlers because I want them to have the cleanest food available and they drink it right up .

Wrong item

No calcium
This milk is watery but the ingredients list is clean. I love that it has no calcium as medication I take says no calcium for hours. This gives me milk for smoothies, eggs or pancakes.

Poor taste

Not what I was hoping for
I got this milk expecting it to be great in my coffee and I also LOVED the simple and organic ingredient list. I also thought this would be great to give to my toddler and preschooler. However, this has such a watery consistency - it's literally not creamy at all like other oat milks. This made it impossible to put in my coffee and actually ruined my morning cup. My kids wouldn't drink it either...it tastes sour with a hint of vanilla not like any milk substitute I've tried in the past. I only found it good for baking. Other than that it's a pretty useless drink. I wish this was better because I really wanted a healthier alternative to some of the oat milk out there but this just isn't it.

Great Ingredients — as long as you read them!
It seems like none of the negative reviewers actually read the ingredient list. First of 3 ingredients is water. If you're wanting something creamier and thicker, then you need a thickening agent like oils and gums. This doesn't have those. The ingredient list is amazing. No gums, no oils, no glyphosate on the oats, organic. 👌🏼 It has a light refreshing flavor and it's nice to drink plain. I've added it to iced herbal coffee and it didn't add any flavor or creaminess.

MALK is unethical
This company sent me an offer for $3 off if I bought their product I followed ALL the instructions and requirements correctly. I bought their overpriced product and then when I submitted the receipt they said we're no longer doing this promotion. After they sent it to me un prompted. If they can't keep their word when it comes to their own offer, I really don't trust them to make my food. There are a lot of good companies making alternate milk now I would suggest you choose one of them I know I'm going to.

It's just plain oat milk
It's so difficult finding oat milk with no added junk like gums or oils. Obviously it will not be as creamy because there's a reason why they add those things: plain oat milk is just oats and water so it is going to be watery and not have a lot of flavor. I'm okay with that! I like adding a little bit of vanilla and maple syrup at home.
