Little worried about new packaging but love it
Let's get into the newly updated packaging of the Rohto Mentholatum Melano CC Vitamin C Essence, because this J-beauty staple is still reigning supreme. The fresh silver and yellow tube looks a bit sleeker, but I was so relieved they kept the iconic, airtight pinpoint nozzle—it dispenses perfect single drops and miraculously stops the vitamin C from oxidizing and turning brown in your cabinet. The scent is a very strong, zesty lemon-yuzu fragrance that wakes you right up, though if you have easily irritated skin, that intense citrus punch might be a red flag. When I apply a few drops, the texture is completely clear and actually feels surprisingly oily and slightly warming as it glides on, which means it takes a solid few minutes to fully absorb before I can go in with my moisturizer. As for the results, this little tube is an absolute powerhouse for fading stubborn post-acne hyperpigmentation and dark spots. After using it daily for about three weeks, those pesky red marks on my chin were noticeably lighter and my overall complexion had a much more radiant, even-toned glow. The biggest pro is definitely the shelf stability and affordability—it literally lasts forever without going bad—but the obvious con is that heavy, greasy finish that might make my oily-skinned girlies feel a bit slick if used all over the face instead of just as a spot treatment. It’s a true holy grail for targeted brightening, but if you're looking for a weightless, water-light morning serum, this texture might not be for you.

Wrong item sent
They sent me the wrong one. I went to Target to do a return. They couldn’t do it, so now I’m stuck with it but have no use for it. Waste of time and money.

It makes the skin glow and seems to have lightened some dark spots in conjunction with other products.

I paid for the premium essence and they sent me the much cheaper standard essence. Target won’t refund me, I have to go to the store to fix the issue even though it was their mistake
