We currently advertise these products as “SLS free” because they do not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). The Maui Moisture Nourish & Moisture + Coconut Milk Conditioner feels so creamy and hydrating on my hair. I love that it’s made with coconut milk and aloe instead of harsh ingredients—it leaves my hair soft, shiny, and so much easier to detangle. The scent is tropical and fresh without being too strong, and it lingers just enough after washing. It gives my hair great moisture without feeling heavy or greasy, which I really appreciate since I have fine hair. The packaging is cute and easy to squeeze out the right amount. Definitely one of my favorite affordable, nourishing conditioners.

Stripped and dried out my hair so badly that I could not brush it out without losing hair. Luckily, I had some back up deep conditioner that I could apply on to get all the knots out. I do not recommend!

Nice Scent, But Could Use More Moisture
I recently tried the Maui Moisture Nourish & Moisture Conditioner. The smell is absolutely amazing—like a tropical coconut paradise—and it stays in your hair for a while, which I love. As for the conditioning, it did provide some moisture, but not as much as I had hoped for. My hair felt a bit weighed down, and I still needed to use a leave-in conditioner afterward to keep my waves from feeling stiff. It did help with frizz, but I was expecting it to really hydrate and soften my color-treated hair more. Overall, it’s a decent conditioner, but if you have dry or color-treated hair like mine, you might want something a little richer.
