Guests are saying
The new trash bags have received significant criticism for their thinness and poor quality compared to the previous up and up brand. Many guests have expressed disappointment, noting that these bags are not suitable for heavy kitchen waste and often require doubling up to prevent tearing. However, some guests appreciate the value for lighter tasks, such as bathroom use or recycling. Overall, the product seems to fall short of expectations for durability and functionality.

Too small for 8 gallon bins. Unbelievably thin plastic. Will never buy again.
Smaller than the up and up brand?

Got these thinking they would be the same as the up and up brand. The up and up brand fit perfectly in my 7 gallon trash can. These are too small and fall into the trash can which leads me to belief they may not even be 8 gallon as advertised.
Bathroom garbage only, no longer for kitchen

Similar to other reviews, these bags seem thinner now, I liked the Up&Up version. 4 star for bathroom use only. 1 star for kitchen use. I am currently successfully using this thinner bag version in our 8 gallon bathroom garbage but we had previously used the Up&Up for a few years in an 8 gallon kitchen garbage: I wouldn't recommend that now, and I've switched my kitchen garbage to be 13 gallons, so I don't have a recommendation.

I have a small kitchen trash bin under the sink and previously bought the Up & Up 8 gallon bags. I hoped these would be as good but should have paid attention to the reviews!!! Very thin, and while I don't have heavy things in the trash even with a light bag I am not confident it won't bust open. Not even worth returning, I am currently double-bagging until I find a decent unscented substitute. The best use for this would be in a bathroom where all of the trash is cotton balls.

I miss the Up and Up branded ones and their quality. These deal worthy ones feel like cheap junk. Bring back the appeal of the Up and Up branded ones!

Great inexpensive bags for my 8 gal trash can. Hard to find this size and I’ve been using this for years! Can’t load up too much heavy stuff in it but I throw out trash everyday so it’s ok for me.
Not great, but cheap

Good for office trash cans or somewhere low traffic. I wouldn’t suggest these for a bathroom because they are pretty thin. Think somewhere in between a liner and a real trash bag.

We get these for the diaper pail and they aren’t very good. They are cheap but so is the quality. The bags often break when pulling out of the pail. So I guess it depends what you need it for.

The absolute lowest quality I've ever come across. Every member of my family struggles to actually open up a new bag. Licking your fingers and rubbing them between the bag still won't open them. Takes forever. Bags won't properly sit around basket and usually collapses inside the basket rendering it ineffective. The flaps are annoying. Dealworthy is the cheapest quality imaginable. No one likes it.
Cheap, awful

Bags tear constantly. Cheap, thin, and not a good deal when you have to use two bags to avoid tears. Why? Why replace good bags with this awful version? My least favorite Target purchase.

I like these kind of flap tie trash bags as they are they are the right size for my bathroom trash cans. The trash bags are also of the right thickness. I will definitely be buying again in the future.
Strong for a few days worth of garbage.

These bags are strong even tho they are a bit thinner than the expensive name brand. And less plastic in the environment is a very good thing.
I'll avoid buying these

I haven't had one tear on me, I'll give it that. But they don't fit my can properly, and I find the flaps annoying. It's enough of a hassle that I'll buy the more expensive ones. But they are ok if you don't want to spend more.
