Back lit when you need to know what time it is at night. I think it looks good, at least as good as a watch 4 times the cost or more. In my experience way more. It's a Timex. It works. The nylon band isn't exactly super supple but breaks in a little after a few days. No scratches on the crystal yet. Seems more scratch resistant than (not sure if I'd call it crystal on either watch) the Timex Ironman I've been wearing for the past few years. The date number is small and isn't backlit, but I guess if you don't know what day it is this isn't the watch for you. Overall, for thirty dollars it is a good watch. I'd buy it again even if it only lasted a year because I feel like most of the watches you buy for way more money aren't any better and many of them don't even look as good. Ive had a Tag Heuer, a Chronosport and numerous other brand name watches that weren't any better (I've gotten more value out of this watch already than watches costing way more). My advice is find one in a store to see if you like the looks and feel. For me, buying it on target.com was considerably less expensive than buying it at the store where I saw it. Very good value.
I received an American Aviator watch as a gift last Christmas. It stopped rarely kept good time and eventually stopped working altogether. Only had a 30 day warranty. Purchased the Expedition as a replacement. It keeps perfect time, looks better, and has a much better warranty. Timex has always been a quality product.
