Out of the box, the boots felt lighter than they looked. Quality leather, tight and perfect stiches, correct smell (don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about), great color and rugged look and exactly the sole height and construction I need for the workshop. I was prepared for and had my mind right for a full-scale reenactment of a low-budget 70's Kung Fu movie in my first attempt to put the boots on my hoofs. There's been precedent.
