Clip breaking makeshift fix.
If the clip breaks, the rest of the broken clip that is in the metal part of the strap is kept together by a washer located at the opposite end of the broken side and it’s easy to remove with pliers when you find the break in the washer. Do not attempt to “unscrew” the broken part and the small part at the end. It’s all 1 solid piece of metal. Remove the washer and you can DIY whatever you want to hold the strap to the messenger bag including separate straps or something else. Also sucks that I went to college with this and the first one broke. I tied the end to the middle handle, slung it once more and not even 30 seconds later the other side broke.

Strap Size Issue
I use this for work. I don’t carry a ton of stuff so it’s a bit big for what I use it for, but that’s fine. It fits my work laptop perfectly. I have a ThinkPad T470. Its screen size is 14 inches but the overall dimensions of the computer are 9x13.25 inches with a diagonal measurement of 16 inches. It’s a perfect fit in the padded section with just enough room to fit my iPad Air (with a folio case) along side it. My only issue so far is the strap. It’s very long. Which is fine, but I’m a short person. I’m 5 foot 3 inches. I have to shorten the strap A LOT to get the bag to sit nicely on my lower back. This causes an issue with the shoulder pad. The leather shoulder pad is only large enough to fit on the side of the strap that is just a single strap. Not the side where the strap is doubled from shortening the length. Because the strap is so long and I need to shorten it so much, the shoulder pad ends up getting shoved to one end of the strap without the ability to slide it over to where it will actually sit on my shoulder. I cannot slide the shoulder pad over top of the metal buckles so it makes it pretty much useless. I plan to fix this by removing the buckle from one end of the strap, cutting the strap much shorter, and then sewing the buckle back on. If this bag cost any more than the 30 bucks it did, I would end up returning it. But it was cheap so I don’t mind tailoring it to fit me as much. But it is worth noting.

The style is very simple, yet the leather and the brass-colored acents really complement the whole bag.
