Solid basic radio
We're using these radios to provide safe effective communication during trap shoot. One person is overseeing the shooters with another person in the trap house running the thrower. The people doing each task changes frequently so cell phones are not practical. The radios are used about 50 feet apart. The trap house is an all cement block building buried in the side of a hill. There is no direct line of sight. The radios are typically used 3-6 hours a week, charged once a week. No issues. The only complaint is the volume is very loud on the lowest setting for a typical environment. However, considering we're all wearing hearing protection, we use these radios on a volume setting of 5 or 6.

One Alive One Dead
Bought these radios for use during hurricanes. Thankfully never needed to use them for such an event. However, they have been sitting in my office waiting on standby just in case the need for them ever arrives. After 5 years of sitting in the same place one unit has died. It's not the battery pack that has failed as I have pulled the pack out of the failed unit and it powers up the other working one. Cheap enough that if you break gear often or need to use it in bad weather that it's not a big deal if they die, but if you're keeping them on standby for use in an emergency just know that they may randomly stop working for no apparent reason. Checked them once a week to make sure they were topped up or turned on, today one failed my check. It's now two years past the warranty date so just more eWaste to dispose of. Kinda defeats the purpose of having them for an emergency. I will not be purchasing this radio again but I'll probably try other Midland products.

Handy piece of equipment
Purchased these radios about a month ago to have when the wife and I go camping to assist in parking the camper and while we are around the campground. They sure are handier than texting or using the cell phones and will save on the phones batteries. Small enough to clip on the belt and not be cumbersome. The weather channel feature keeps us informed of changes to help us make decisions of our activities. Have been very pleased with the product.

Clear reception/high quality
Camping in an isolated area behind a large hill was the perfect place to review these radios. However, with the hill as an obstruction our range was limited. The Midland's instruction booklet is easy to follow, buttons are easy to operate, radio is comfortable to hold, and the belt clip is very tight (exercise care unlatching to prevent breaking). The NOAA Weather Radio is a great feature too. The radios can be charged while positioned on the charging stand or via a charging cord plugged directly into the radio and to an electrical source (such as a portable power bank). We are very impressed with the clear reception and convenience of the Midland X-Talker Two-way Radios. We are looking forward to using these radios during our future no-cell service camping, fishing, and hiking adventures.

No complaints
I have had a pair of these for just over a year. I bought them a a local tractor supply store on a whim. I have used these with my MXT115, no complaints. and decent range. I can talk from the MXT115 to home at about 1-2 miles regular in a heavily populated area. I was actually surprised at the range I get in a residential area compared to others I have tried. I do have others that can outperform these but these are in my book a keeper. I like how it tells me the batteries are fully charged and functions are easy to understand. I do have my GMRS license and have been "playing" around with GMRS learning as I go trying to stay part 95 compliant. Great for using on Bike rides, camping or in a group out off roading

Great radio for quick communication
Purchased these radios a few months ago for use on my property. They were easy to set up and use right out of the box. The sound quality is good and they are loud and easy to hear. Excited to try them on some hunting trips this spring!

Great Lake House Radios
I received these as a gift to use at my lake house to communicate between my house and the dock. We don't have cell service at our home at the Lake of the Ozarks so these were much needed. Now we don't have to run up and down the hill to talk to each other! Work perfect!

Not even close to 28 miles range
I bought these for my son & husband to use on the job & hunting. They are very clear until you get to 5 blocks away then you starting getting static. At 6 blocks you get nothing. 28 mile range? No. Not even half a mile. These were tried in 'city', however it is a very small country town.
