The cap split in half in less than 1 year. Gas went everywhere when I poured.

The "safety" design of the spout is terrible. To pour the gas out, you have to have the grip strength of a gorilla. If I could somehow sue the engineer of this spout for misogyny, I would. If the engineer of the spout is a woman, girl love yourself.

Nice little can to have on hand just in case

This gas can is a safety HAZARD! 1. I purchased this item due to an emergency with my car as a safety precaution. 2. This item leaks in several different ways. 3. I called customer service about this item and told them my safety concerns with this item and the only thing they could do was give me a $15 gift card not an actual credit back to my account. 4. I was told the only way I could get credit back to my card would be to return the item back to the store. 5. I didn’t want to do that to the stores team in a mall as a safety precaution because the item was/is still leaking and filled with a gallon of gasoline. 6. I took time to dispose of this item at my local fire department and the fireman asked me to show him how it leaked and he was even surprised. 7. The fumes from the item leaking made me dizzy, very sleepy and overwhelmed my clothing, car and skin-I’m exhausted. 8. I find this situation to very capitalistic, as again I was only offered a $15 gift card to be used that a company where I don’t shop at anymore. No, compensation for the gas or time lost. 9. This saga made me realize that the money I already spend was only going to stay at Target because I didn’t want to out there employees in harms way. 10. THIS IS PEAK CAPITALISM! Do better Target! We all deserve more than this. PS: Below you will screen grabs of the video I took of the leaking gas can. Also, the amount of gas that was spilled on my hands is apparent by the photo of my extra dry hands.

This gas can is difficult to operate; it hurts my hands to pull the lever down. The spout is an awkward angle making it difficult to pour. The can also expands and conclaves with the changing temperatures.

Can is good. Nozzle is really bad. Hard to pour gas and hard to open can to fill.

Actually I want to buy a spout to replace the broken one. A spout in Amazon is $14 while this one is just $12. So I end up bought a spout for $10 (with 15% off) plus a free 2 gallon can.

Durable can. Got it at half the price of anywhere else

Didn’t come with the spout, and none were available in the aisle. Didn’t realize until I’d purchased it. Will be returning.

Not sure why the bad reviews. You just need common sense. I just used this can for the first time in my life. I watched a video on YouTube for directions and I read the instructional sticker this can came with. Easy peasy. No mess anywhere. The nozzle at the gas station does drip so be careful with that. And only fill the can while it sits on the ground. Thanks Target for having these in stock.

The gas can worked properly. was vary affordable! I was greatly pleased with the product.

ALL THIS THING DOES IS CREATE FRUSTRATION. THE NOZZLE DOESNT WORK, YOU CAN TIGHTEN THE CAP AS HARD AS POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL STILL GET SPILLS. SOME OF IT SPILT ON MY CAR INTERIOR AND NOW MY CAR HAS A STRONG GAS SMELL THANKS TO THE LEAKAGE. PLEASE BUY A DIFFERENT CAN IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD.

This nozzle design is much easier to use than others.

Nozzle is hard to work with, the mesh inside the can forces you to fill it slowly (it will stop the pump if you fill with full speed). But those are not the worst of it. There is no gasket to seal the closure so no matter how hard you screw the nozzle back to the can it leaks gas when you try to use it. Don’t waste your time and money and save yourself from frustration. Horrible product!

Don’t like the spill proof spout. Too difficult to keep open.

This new "safety" nozzle is a huge inconvenience for older cars. I have a 1990 and cannot fill up the tank because its to deep and that "safety" button keeps getting hit. Needless to say I'm not pleased with this new feature

The cans were a little thinner walls than I expected.

Works for our use as a gas can for leaf blower and chain saw.
