A: The description says "has a 1-way light setting for easy operation" so I don't think so. But if you used a smart bulb like GE & just left the switch on, you could dim it with the bulbs remote control.

Replaced the builder light with this cute one in our small mudroom. The size is perfect for a small area. I wish the gold color was more antique. The gold looks warmer in the photo, but actual color is a little pale. I took one star off because the canopy plate does not stay flush with the ceiling after tightening the two screws. I did reinstalled it and noticed that when not tightened it stays flush but after tightening it becomes unleveled, might be a quality flaw. There are also a few black spots on the light cover. Fortunately they are not quite noticeable once installed.

A beautiful light fixture! The milk glass is nicely made and a nice design. The only reason I took a star off was because I was a bit uneasy about how the three screws held in the glass. It didn’t seem like a real secure fit even when the screws couldn’t be tightened anymore. So far so good though!

I am really pleased with how a simple light fixture was able to upgrade the aesthetic of the room it went in. It is beautiful, elegant, and puts off such a glowing brightness. The only thing I don’t care for is that there aren’t holes in the globe to attach it to the fixture itself, that it secures to a piece of plastic that is around the globe.

Very pretty and modern light fixture. It's a little smaller than I was hoping but our entryway isn't huge so I think it still fits well there. Definitely an upgrade from what was originally there when we bought the house. Despite the white globe, it still puts off a good amount of light. It's a good quality light and was easy to install.

I am pretty sure it took me longer to take down the old fixture than to put up this one. I am not kidding, I was flipping the switch on in about 20 minutes . Mainly because I was taking my time. The fixture included an instruction manual for a different fixture, but that's ok. It's pretty simple with the included hardware. The fixture has that retro feel with the brass base and glass dome. It's not one of those fixtures that are led...it's a byob( bring your own bulb) style . If you aren't ready to make the switch to built-in led, this will work for you. While I like that some of those fixtures have the built-in led, I don't like you have to replace the whole fixture when it goes out. With this one you simply change out your bulb and you are good to go...as it should be. Loving the retro look and am sure will enjoy this fixture from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia for years to come!

I bought this to put above a kitchen sink with a soffit and it’s too big for that spot, but it’s too good to return, so I’ll keep it, buy another, & use them in a narrow hallway that currently has builder grade lights. I’m also pleasantly surprised by the quality. I’ve been looking for a “schoolhouse” style light for years and this is the first that had a heavy shade like a vintage light would. Overall, it’s much better than what I’ve seen in big box hardware stores.
