Q: In the description, it says that the back panel has cutouts for media cables. However, in users' pictures I don't see any cutouts. Does it or does it not have these cutouts?

submitted by Uri - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Uri - We appreciate your interest in this TV stand. Yes, the back panel has cutouts. You can punch them out yourself if you want to use them. We hope this helps! - Fedrica

  • A: I didn't use the holes and instead cut a flap on the back. Easy to cut through. Just measure well before you cut.

submitted byRosie the Riveter - 8 months ago
  • A: you should be able to push them out to put cables thru

Q: Was it hard to assemble ?

submitted by Assembling - 4 years ago
  • A: it took my boyfriend and i 4 hours to assemble this. it's definitely a project but nice for the price !

submitted bysofigirl - 3 years ago
  • A: Went together pretty well in less than 2 hours. I had to redo the side panels cuz attached on wrong side. Easy to redo. Was tired at end and put back panel on the wrong way. Took it off the next day and put the cable holes on the bottom.🙃 Was easy to cut through back for wires which worked better for me anyway. Left that opening as a flap.

Q: Need some help and or any tips that would help me get this sliding shelf in place.... Thanks!

submitted by Jason - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi jason - Thanks for asking. A pair of open shelves gives you space to display DVD players and often-watched DVDs, while a large drawer lends even more space to stash your collection of entertainment accessories. The open shelves and drawer is used to keep media essentials safely stowed. To make sure the Mixed Material TV Stand is put together correctly, please refer the assembly instructions. We hope this helps! - Shakita :

Q: How tall is the opening of the lower shelf. Mainly, is it tall enough to store records?

submitted by Nunya Biz - 4 years ago
  • A: Most record albums are 12"x12". Therefore, 11.4" would be short by just a hair.

submitted byBer - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Nunya Biz - This media stand would be great for any space! The bottom shelf measures 22.7" W x 11.4" H, which should fit the records. Happy shopping! - Patricia

Feels very cheap compared to other products I've put together from Target. I had the worst time getting it together and and it feels like it will collapse, in fact when I was trying to move to my bedroom it almost did. Regretted it so much, already looking for a replacement and I bought it 4 days ago.

After realizing there were 2 missing wooden dowels I had my husband widdle 2 out of wood on hand. I thought crisis diverted. I was wrong. There were multiple flaws on the exposed surfaces. I had to buy a cover cloth to drape over this brand new product as it was beat up. Yes I guess could have tried to take all of it apart and make the 30 mile round trip drive to return it and be left with nothing to set the TV on right before Christmas. Even though this product was meant to be temporary it was a pain to assemble and work around all the flaws. I wish I had all the time I wasted on it back.

Assembly and Quality. Why would a step tell you to screw something in that's being blocked by a bar? Even a small screwdriver can't fit, so the screw went on crooked. At the end of installation, I went to put in the tracks for the sliding door. The top cut out where the track should go can not be installed because it was not cut completely across the board. Now I can't use the sliding door. This is silly construction.

Easy to assemble but the materials are a notch down from IKEA. I bought it when it was on sale for $75. Recently, I had thought of buying another one for the boy’s bedroom but no way is this tv stand worth more than $100; yet alone the overpriced amount of $130.

Seems difficult to assemble, but it’s not. Three flaws: Do step 14 before doing step 13. Assemble the sliding door hardware first. The second flaw was the stand’s top. Why didn’t they just include one solid piece? It seems like an afterthought when having to add a second, smaller- yet thicker, top which goes right on the front. Third, the sliding door hardware requires small screws (a total of 3 per piece) but 2 of the three screws aren’t holding anything down. Perhaps the screw head should have been a bit bigger. The final piece is as pictured on the website. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

It looks exactly as it appears and it wasn’t too difficult to put together. I love how it looks. The reason I rate it so low, however, is the lack of stability. If I move it slightly, the whole thing feels like it will fall apart.

It looks exactly as pictured, but has it's pros & cons. I had to order missing screws, since bringing it back to the store alone would have been harder to do. I really didn't care for most of the screws being in one big bag either. I also used a drill (slowly) since the holes weren't large enough for me to manually screw them in place & it took three hours to build it by myself.

Looks good. Now for the but. The sliding door is not usable since the track piece doesn’t fit in the groove cut in the bottom wood piece. I tried to hammer it in but I ended up cracking the track piece. If I could get another bottom wood piece and track piece it would be tough to take the bottom piece off since there is a backing board that is nailed to the wood pieces. I’d probably end up damaging the backing board and the other wood pieces trying to take it apart.

3 stars for the aesthetic. I think it’s a cute tv stand. However, this was the hardest thing I ever assembled (I also put it together alone so that makes it harder lol) The back leg isn’t sturdy at all. Any weight applied to the back of the stand, the back leg AND it’s screws RIPS OUT of the holes. I’ve had all 7 of the screws snugly secured and then that happened. I know once I set my tv on the surface, the back leg will crumble. I could remove both the legs but I think the piece would look weird without them and sit too low to the ground for my liking. Also the sliding door instructions were very unclear so my sliding door…still slides but not the way it was intended. It’s more like decoration now.
