A: It is not. When using it on an item that will be used for food, keep the product away from the parts that will come in contact with food or mouths. For instance, apply designs to the back of clear plates and keep designs on cups on the out side and do not apply on the top 1/4".

A: It will adhere to magazine paper. There will be a few things to watch for when decoupaging with magazine paper. Magazine paper may wrinkle and bleed more than napkins or fabric. It may become translucent, allowing the print on the reverse side to show through. Practice with scrap magazines before adding it to your main project.

A: The Mod Podge spray Aerosols contain propellants. The propellants are solvent based and will cause the paint to release from the surface.
You could use the Mod Podge Ultra for this application. Please note without knowing what type of paint you used . We cannot know how durable this will be.

A: Mod Podge is not intended to be used with actual Photos. You should use copies of photos that have been made on a machine that uses a dry toner.
The Mod Podge Sprays are not glues . They are top coat sealers only.

A: We do not recommend our products for use on polymer clay's. If it is regular air dry clay that you are using then yes you can use this sealer over the fully cured clay.

Works Great
I used this to seal acrylic paint on a plastic binder. So far, the paint has stayed without flaking, which is what I was hoping for. The spray nozzle breaks easily on the canister however. I had to exchange my original can for a new one as I received a broken one. But that's a packaging design flaw rather than a product flaw.

Loved it for acrylic on canvas
I’m a very novice hobby painter. I mostly work with edible products and baked goods so while I’m artistic, this entire world is very new to me. I read in several group sites to not use mod podge as an acrylic sealant. But maybe they were talking about standard decoupage mod podge? Anywho, I didn’t know about different gloss levels and viscosity of mediums so my “first acrylic paints” set was entry level matte. I liked the final art pieces (acrylic on canvas) but wasn’t a fan of the matte look for them. I’ve since purchased glossy mediums and paints but still needed something to gloss up the original matte paintings. Being on an island, very few options to have anything “shipped” here. This spray was offered by our local target so it was the best I could find in a pinch. Whether it’s recommended or not, it’s definitely sufficient for my remedial pieces lol! It does require at least 4 or 5 coats to get an even gloss on 16x20 canvases. One spray can was enough to do 3 of that size. The photos are in bad lighting so don’t do much justice for the product but irl it does look like I used glossy paints to begin with! Even coats, no unnecessary streaks. Took the matte pieces up a notch! Price is on par with other acrylic gloss sprays I’ve seen. I’m curious to try others to see if I may not need so many coats. But until some get shipped here, I’m out of luck.
