It feels like silk. Not what modal should feel like

Being 800 count, I expected them to be a little softer. But they are still nice.

These sheets are VERY soft, not scratchy at all as another reviewer reported. The stitching is nice and overall they seem to be of very high quality. They fit perfectly over my extra thick mattress and the taupe color was beautiful. A little more brown than I was expecting, but I like it and it looks very nice. These sheets are softer than others I own of higher thread count. I like them so much, I'm probably going to order another set.

The blanket is very nice and will work very well for what we want it for.

Absolutely love this set. Hadnt heard of modal before so thought Id try based on the reviews. I love it! It is so soft. At the moment Im sleeping on the fitted sheet and using just the flat sheet as cover as weather too warm for duvet. It has a lovely cool softness about it.I must have bought mine when there was an offer on as have just gone to purchase another set but they now almost 5 times the price I paid. Shame as I would like a spare to change instead of having to wash and dry this one in a hurry to put back on.They are way bigger than a uk super king, so fitted sheet needs tucking in a bit more but its handy the flat sheet being larger as this is what we are using as a blanket. The pillowcases are huge. Way longer than standard pillows so have to fold over about half of the case but I have these on the bottom so doesnt matter.Will keep checking for price coming down to order again

The color was lighter than expected. Holds up well in the wash. soft and comfy.

The grey almost looks brown. These are not that soft. Was looking for beechnut modal replacement and these arent even close

Color is great. Lightweight, perfect for summer.

When these sheets arrived, my wife machine washed them in warm water, not cold, and tumble dried them. Although we have a standard ' eastern' king-sized mattress and these sheets are specified to be ' California King' the bottom sheet from this set fit our mattress perfectly and suffered no apparent shrinkage. If not immediately removed from the dryer at the end of the cycle these sheets will wrinkle, but the wrinkles smooth out nicely when the deep-pocketed fitted sheet is stretched onto the mattress. Modal is a type of rayon fabric made from fibers of the beech tree.Although we traditionally buy and use high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, which cost less, both my wife and I found these sheets to be smooth and comfortable, but not slick or clammy. During the warmer months some sheets that we've tried tend to make us feel warmer. These sheets seem to be more neutral neither making us feel too warm or chilly, thereby making them suitable for all seasons, in my opinion.Since what feels good to our skin tends to be highly subjective, I would be reluctant to suggest that sheets made from Modal would be the best choice for everyone. But we found them to be quite comfortable and worthy of consideration especially for someone looking for an alternative to natural cotton or cotton/polyester blends.

Extremely comfortable, a worthy substitute for the BBB Pure Beach Sateen sets for any fellow die-hards out there who were sad to see them discontinued.

My daughter loves these!! They hold up well in the laundry, are very soft & keep you cool to sleep.

If you had told me that you can take some wood pulp and make comfortable bed linens out of it prior to test these, I would have been laughing at you. And yet, Modal fabric comes from beechwood. And yet again, these are amazingly soft to the touch and against the skin.So far, my favorite bed linens are 100% organic cotton with a 550 thread count but when I was given a chance to review these superior 300 thread count, I thought that it was worth a try and I am not disappointed.What I like:- Much softer than cotton- Good sizing- Seem to be well threaded- Heavy enough; Sometimes 300 thread can feel a bit too light and not substantial enough but it is not the case here.What I do not like:- Nothing so far.In conclusion:When I compare them to my Magnolia organics bedsheets, I still prefer the magnolia organics because they give me the feeling of old traditional bedsheets of the last century. They are soft yet rigid.However, if I want to sleep on the softest I have tried yet, I would go for these modal bedsheets which are really nice to sleep in.
