Monoprice Cat6A RJ45 Toolless 180-Degree Keystone Jack for 22-24AWG Solid Wire, White

I was surprised how easy it was to use these and was skeptical of the "toolless" title. I stand corrected. The hardest part was guiding the wires into the slots, but after simply snipping off the excess, you snap it shut and done. Would totally recommend.

I ordered these in different colors to fill the 6 bay Decor Insert, P/N 34518. However, the white, yellow, and green versions are built like P/N 15963 and were too large. Had to make a trip to the Big Box store for a conventional 6-space wall plate instead of being able to use the designer Decor wall plates I have throughout the rest of the house.

I?ve bought the blue one before PID: 15666 and love them. So I bought the white one PID: 15664 these are crap. I?m not sure if some has changed in the supply chain in a year between the purchases. The new ones I have received are way bigger. It?s not rounded and the back is a big square box. Impossible to put two on top of each other. Make plates really tight.

Worked perfect for what I needed at a fraction of the price of other stores. Easy to install on cat 6a wire and insert into the keystone plate.

I found that the plastic on these was soft enough that when trying to punch down the wires into them the wire would just bend around the metal contact and not slide into the contact. These keystones make for fast and efficient cat 6a termination. Current usage: monoprice cat 6a 23awg F/UTP 1000’ spool. Ran 8 drops and termination couldn’t be easier. Strip the cable vinyl coating, peel back the foil and plastic, trim the center core. Take center punch down cap out of this keystone and place twisted pairs through the cap. Align the wires with T568A or B marks, then place the keystone cap into the keystone and press down firmly. Trim excess wire, close and lock the cap, done! 15 of 16 drops I ran worked fine, one was an error on my part which was easily found and fixed with a decent cable tester. Takes < 2 min once you get good with them. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the plastic clip that holds the Keystone into your wall plate or patch panel is extremely fragile. Very delicately push on the clip to release it and remove it slowly, if you push down further than needed, IT WILL CRACK. I’ve got about a dozen extras for this purpose so be careful. Other than its fragility, it’s a fantastic product and punches down cat 6a wire runs very well. I removed several keystones from wall plates and patch panels by being very careful with the clips, and how many times do you need to release something anyways? I had to swap placement of a few cables and when I wasn’t very careful they broke.

Super easy and straightforward. Although i question what makes it CAT6A specifically, it works as intended, looks clean and good in our walls and was easy to use. Out of 10, there were 0 failures.

Easy to use. Tabs break very easily so buy extras or don’t move them once placed.

love the keystone vs older style that you had to screw the wires on to. this was much easier and worked great. best price i found for these vs amz and ebay.

They are ready to install and none of them failed. Good buy.
