My son loves to play with this. But it eats batteries like crazy. You'll need a new pack of D4 batteries in which are not so cheap, everytime you play with it. Makes my son frustrated on why it doesn't work.

My son loves this track, but it eats through batteries like crazy. Literally they died after an hour and a half of my son playing with it. That’s 4 D batteries it eats through in that time, so definitely not worth the price since you have to buy a mountain worth of D batteries to continually play with it. Assembly was fine, we had to click the thing gray top into place the right way to get it to work like the reviews said.

Okay, this is a super fun playset…if you get it on sale. I paid like $15 on Black Friday and I would say that is a fair price, but full price maybe not. It eats through batteries so fast (and beware it needs $20 worth of batteries lol). After a few weeks it seems like something with the motor is a little off too. It has definitely provided a lot of entertainment, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it full price.

Fun, interactive and a great way to learn cause and effect. Got this for my now 3 year old last year and he still loves it. Us parents and uncles have fun playing it with him too. It's a BIG track set, so we have to disassemble when not in use and my toddler likes putting it together himself after doing it a few times. If you get the timing right, can successfully launch 3 cars on the track at once but my toddler loves when they crash too. Only fits Monster Jam trucks but not really a problem. We loved it so much I bought extras to stock up for gifts when it went on sales

this was one of my sons Christmas presents and it does not work at all. immediately after opening and installing brand new batteries, the toy would not turn on. we tried other batteries, etc and nothing! do NOT recommend!

This should be done on a firm surface and not on a carpet or other soft surface. Turn the power switch of the booster to the OFF position. Please ensure that there are fresh batteries (4 D batteries) installed in the booster component. Remove any debris from the booster, and then turn the power switch to the ON position. Please note that if the booster component pieces are not connected correctly, the playset will not perform the way it should. To preserve battery, if the playset runs for 4 minutes without any activity (no trucks pass through), the light will start blinking red, and the booster will turn off. To turn the playset back on, move the power switch to the OFF position and then back to the ON position. We would be grateful for the opportunity to turn this into a positive experience for you. Great set, but.....
This is really an awesome playset, got it for grandson and he absolutely loves it! Reason I only gave 4 stars is because it is not compatible with other (same scale) monster trucks as it says it is, other trucks are slightly too wide to fit through the launcher, was very disappointed! It does however come with 2 trucks that do work, so it is still great fun!

PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT HELP
SOOOO after changing the batteries three times, I read all the reviews and was also going to be a negative nancy, however…. My husband threw the instructions away and I had to build it and figure it out… We have to push down hard on the grey motor where it’s labeled “Monster Jam” until we hear it click, I believe twice if I’m not mistaken.. then the light turned on and it worked like a charm. Make sure you have the on switch to the line and not the circle.

booster will not turn on
I wanted to add this review for anyone that is having trouble getting the buster to turn on. I changed batteries twice and it still would not turn on. I contacted the help desk, and they were very friendly and helpful. there are 2 pieces to the booster, and they have to be snapped together correctly. So, on a hard surface push down firmly to hear it snap in place. once I did that is started right away and my grandson has planned for hours.
