Cute but Tiny with Weak Seam
Dog had the seam torn in five minutes and pulled out the stuffing and ‘killed’ the squeaker. I restuffed, added another squeaker and sewed it closed for another few minutes of ‘play’. Toy is not suitable for unsupervised use if dog is driven to pull ‘fur’, split seams.

Dangerous!
My 20lb schipperke disembowled this toy in less than an hour; chewed the squeaker up and ate it. The squeaker bits and other parts of this toy caused a blockage in his stomach and nearly killed him. One emergency surgery and two days in the hospital later this toy cost me over $10,000 ( not exagerating!)

Our beagle adores these hedgehogs, they’re our most-purchased item at Target. She’s picky about toys, but loves to carry these around. Her collection is in various states of destruction, but they hold up so much better than other stuffed toys we’ve tried. (She amputated a $12 gingerbread man’s limbs in a single afternoon, and a $20 “tough” lizard within a few days.) A small tear doesn’t mean all the stuffing pops out, stepping on one doesn’t hurt, the squeaker isn’t obnoxious, and the price point is perfect. These hedgehogs certainly get a lot of love before they need to be retired.
