Q: Mold grows in the straw, can these cups be boiled to try to remove the mold? the cleaning utensil can't reach the mold. Thabk you.
submitted by Kirsten - 3 years ago
A: The straw is very narrow, and boiling water won’t flow through. A water jet from a sink sprayer or a rigid strand such as a bristle from a broom can push residue out.

Q: If my baby hold the cup up side down, will it leak ?
submitted by Shreyas - 5 years ago
A: It will drip slightly from the weight of the liquid in the straw. You can flip the top lid closed, and it will pinch the straw shut and stop the drip.
submitted byFleetside Garage - 2 years ago
A: Good afternoon Shreyas, the Munchkin Click Lock Weighted Straw Trainer Cup will not leak even if its upside down.

A: The straw is very thin, and Munchkin states it is for a 6+ month old. Once they get to about 12-18 months, the straw flow is too small.
submitted byFleetside Garage - 2 years ago
Q: We have 2 of these cups, our loves them but the straws have started to leak. The cup will be sitting on the counter and the liquid will come up out of the straw. Does this mean the straws need to be replaced?
submitted by Liz - 8 years ago
A: Its standard expansion as the liquid and air in the bottle warms and slightly expands and pushes the milk up the straw.

Leaks, leaks, leaks, leaks
Great, until it started leaking after the first wash. Tipped over in a bag? Leak. Left on its side on the floor? Leak. Toddler throwing around? Leak. Straw is also terrible to wash.

Best toddler straw cup out there
This is the BEST toddler straw cup out there. The weighted feature at the bottom makes it perfect for transitioning out of the bottle. It is truly leakproof as well.

Save your money- dont buy
It starts off as a cool cup. Out of no where after about a month it starts to leak out of no where. One started leaking out the side and the other leaked out the top if left on its side. I had to throw both out. Would not rebuy and would not recommend

Needed to replace the last one I had and they changed the lids! I really like the change seems more durable and scratch resistant.

Leaks when upright
It’s great for a science experiment if you want to show your kids how water can leak against gravity. Standing upright the bottle leaked nonstop. Wish I wasn’t past my return window.

Good choice for beginner straw drinkers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great size for toddler hands! I love the handles which make it simple for them to carry and use themselves. I like that the straw tucks away for cleanliness reasons. Spilled a tiny bit when violently shaken but we know kids will shake them! Came with a little straw cleaner and lid snaps in place easily.

Poor flow rate and lots of crevices to clean. Eill leak after a few weeks of use. However, it is well designed and helpful tool for introducing a baby to straws. The handles are great.

Its a great cup. We started using these at 6 months and my baby loves it. After 6 months we thought we'd order some more since he loved them so much and every single one we received leaks from the top now. The material is also different from the top which is fine. But i was so happy i finally found a cup that didnt leak and recommendes it to other moms and was very dissappointed when all the new ones leaked.

The cup itself is great.
The cup itself is great. My fighter drinks from it with ease. The only issue I’ve had is this cup differs ever so slightly from another munchkin cup we were gifted so I had to do some detective work to figure out which base goes with which cup and label them accordingly.

We repurchased these cups after
We repurchased these cups after two were great for years. Ordered 4 new ones, but each one leaked and two were different designs entirely on same order. Flaw in the seal that seems to be manufactured incorrectly. Threw out the 4 new cups after multiple leaks and messes made.
