Munchkin Flow Nipple Shield + With See-Thru Channel to Watch Milk Flow

Love this shield and such a great fit. I really like seeing the feedback of milk flowing through. Cleaning is the only thing that’s a little cumbersome. You have to do it right away or milk build up will dry up and stick in the funnel.

Did not work , hard to clean, water gets stuck after cleaning so it got moldy

We really struggled with breastfeeding with my now 4 week old. The first 2 weeks were so rough and she had a tongue tie that really affected her ability to transfer milk so I never knew how much she was getting. Being able to see when the milk was flowing and when it was not with this nipple shield is a game changer. We still don’t have breast feeding down pat but we’ve made so much progress largely in part to this product. Also, the peace of mind it brought me was invaluable

Too finicky.It’s a balancing act to keep the thing on and it’s a really long nipple so it gags my baby. I pre cleaned it before the first use and water was stuck in the line. Had to figure out how to clear it. So $40 wastes. Also Target is selling these for $40 and Munchkin has them for $30.

In theory this is a GREAT nipple shield, I think it works for babies that have the sucking strength but they can’t latch well in my case, My child isn’t able to suck with enough force so the extra distance of having to suck milk through the tube made it extra frustrating for him. Cleaning, while I understand is for safety’s sake, is a huge pain.

This device saved my breastfeeding experience! Being able to see the milk flow from my nipple to his mouth, completely remove the stress of knowing whether or not my baby was getting milk. Removing that stress has increased my milk flow and now we are breast-feeding with success. I have purchased an additional one and sent them to my friends as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Such a cool invention!! My son struggles with latching (had a tongue tie at birth) and so I’ve had trouble getting him off of nipple shields. At times I’m not sure if he’s actually eating or just non-nutritive sucking for comfort; with the flow shield I’ve been able to actually see when he’s feeding, which has been super helpful! Very comfy and fits well too. My favorite nipples shield I’ve tried!

The nipple shield doesn’t stick well at all. It consistently falls off when trying to get my child to latch making me start over several times to start a feed. It also a lot longer than a typically shaped shield which made my child use it like a straw vs a normal latch. I do not think that this is worth the cost and would not recommend this to anyone looking for an upgraded nipple shield.

I have inverted nipples and exclusively use Medela nipple shields so I figured I’d give these a try. Nope, they suck. Please don’t waste your money. Plus, there is no way you can convince me that mold will not grow inside the tiny little tube. There is no way to actually dry it out.

Brings me peace of mind knowing when she's actually drinking my milk or just using me as a Pacifier. I am very sensitive so I've had to use a shield a lot ,this one works very well.

First time mom here! This tiny little thing is soooo helpful! It’s reassuring knowing that there’s actually fluid moving from you to the baby and at what speed. It’s very easy to set up and clean. I was told by multiple nurses and a lactation consultant that my nipples were small which causes a latching issue for baby (with discomfort for me) but this shield is a game changer! Would highly recommend to all the breastfeeding mamas that want a more comfortable, convenient way to feed.

PROS: I’ve been struggling with breastfeeding, and this was a lifesaver. It’s relaxing to see the milk flow toward my baby, and my other kid loves watching it too. It doesn’t interfere with latching, baby can still latch deeply. CONS: Be careful when removing it, milk can spill on your baby’s face or clothes. It also requires thorough cleaning after each use due to its tiny milk tube that otherwise can clog with dry milk

The only design suggestion I would give is to make the device suck better for larger breast. My son is tongue tied and this has made breast feeding a better experience for him and myself. I highly recommend this product for nursing moms!

I love it! It's so amazing and cool to just watch the milk go through! Definitely a great purchase!

The idea is really cool, but it's just not it. The material is very soft but it's weird to clean and definitely did not help with feeding confidence. If anything it made me doubt my ability to nurse even more. The milk doesn't flow effortlessly it's spotty and just kinda bounces around the tube. I'm super disappointed, I bought 2 of these because I'm nursing twins so I wanted to see them both working and it was just a big fat no from me. 1/10 do not recommend

I really wanted to love it. I am a second time mom and used a nipple shield with my first son and now my second son. My first son has a terrible latch, so I know what pain is. But my second son is latching beautifully, no pain, and nursing is going great. So i thought I would give this a try. I think it created too much suction though and immediately tore my nipple apart. So unfortunately, not for me. What I am most concerned about though is how expensive it is, and the retun policy says they only accept unused products. I am still going to see if they will accept the return, but buyers beware.

My son rips it off in two seconds. He hates it and it wasn’t a cheap experiment. I think this is super expensive for a piece of silicone and then you have to buy the syringe to clean it and a second one if you want two. Not worth the costs - my two cents.

I absolutely love this product. My daughter was in the hospital for the first 4 weeks of her life after birth due to a heart defect and was on a ventilator and a feeding tube. As a result, I was unable to get her to latch properly. This product allows me to still breastfeed and I can see exactly how much she is actually eating. It gives me peace of mind.

This nipple shield is very innovative and as a combo feeding mom (breast & bottle) it is reassuring to see the milk flow! However with that being said this is not a 5 star product. First of all it is extremely over priced. If you’re actually using this thing daily, you’ll need a new one after a few weeks and at this price point - no thank you. You’re not just paying for the shield but also a fancy carrying case that doubles as a microwaveable sterilizer as well as cleaning syringe that does NOT clean effectively. It is extremely difficult to remove the clean water from the shield tubing even using the syringe to suck it out as directed. The nipple shield itself is also a lot longer than my lansinoh and medela shields. I also found the plastic to be a little harder. My $6 nipple shield feels more “natural” than this hard long plastic piece. So I don’t hate it. I do use it on occasion, but I grab my other shields first when given the choice. I hate that I spent $40 on this but won’t lie I do enjoy seeing the milk flow when I nurse.

I wouldn’t recommend this nipple shield. It’s hard to use, and washing and drying add to the frustration. It feels impossible to dry after washing. Save your time and money for something that works!
