Note the height of the meshed area
Our bed, a platform one, which in the Q&A, says it works with, is 14" tall. The meshed area is 18" tall so when folded down for access, does not swing down to a 90 degree angle, it hits the floor and makes getting in the bed strange. It's a great item, just be certain your platform or box springs are 18" from floor to the area the support bars will be.

Not safe
There should be a recall for this. I bought one about four years ago for my son and it’s still holding up OK. I bought another one about a year and a half ago for my daughter and it was hanging open partially in the middle of the night. She could have got wedged in and stuck. When I inspected it there’s a bunch of plastic crumbling off of it, almost like the plastic is too soft or old. Nothing happened to it that I’m aware of, I thought maybe the kids accidentally jumped on it but now I come on here to see the recent reviews. I thought to maybe buy a new one and I see many others complaining of the same problem. What kind of subpar material are they using now? My son’s rail is fine and it’s older. What happened to the newer ones!? This isn’t acceptable for something that is supposed to keep our kids safe.

Toddler transition
This is the perfect size for by kids crib. Used for transitioning to toddler bed and its perfect. I bought a different one and it was too big but this one covers enough of the bed so they feel comfy and safe and has enough room for the kids to be able to get down without falling or getting hurt.

Pretty good
Overall good rail if you are in a pinch, but look around if you can wait. It's pricey for what you get. Easy enough to install and seems sturdy enough. This is not suitable for a daybed where the mattress sets down the springs a bit. There is no clearance for height with the elbow. We ordered a different one and are returning this for that reason.

Acceptable Bed Rail
We bought this item to put at the end of a twin bed to keep an elderly cat from falling off the end of the bed when he stands up and tries to move. The only negative part of this item is that the stabilizer straps are not long enough to reach lengthwise on a mattress. Otherwise, it is acceptable for the purpose we purchased it for.

Poppys bed looks great
the bed rails were easy to install in our Granddaughters bed. We only have one problem. Toddlers have restrictions on their mattresses and hence we have a platform bed. So our bed isn't quite tall enough to have the rails clear the floor when they are folded down

Dangerous
I have had this a couple years, so it lasted awhile, but I just barely bumped it and it snapped off. I am just thankful it was me awake and not my toddler in his sleep. I saw another review recently posted for the same problem. Would not buy again.
