Description
The CR-77 is the latest addition to the MXL CR Series of microphones. It is the first dynamic microphone in the series and the first mic of its kind developed by MXL. As part of the CR Series, the CR-77 boasts a matte black body with chrome black accents in a classic mic shape. More than just stylish, the CR-77 has a sound and design all its own.The MXL CR-77 design emphasizes clear, vibrant sound with a cardioid polar pattern that rejects periphery noise on stage from other band members and noisy monitors, while capturing the full range of voice. The grille has smaller holes to eliminate feedback onstage while capturing vocals with clarity. Behind the grille, a foam windscreen is built in to further filter out plosives and background noise. The mic also features a built-in shockmount to reduce handling noise, allowing the singer to come in close to the mic, and the overall construction is robust and heavy to withstand the rigors of the road.
