N-Bone Flossta Dual-Action Chicken Flavor Dental and Hard Chew Dog Treats - 12oz

Both of my golden retrievers have enjoyed Twistix for years. Since they discontinued, I tried Flossta. Both dogs tried the new Flossta and neither finished their stick. The next day they stepped away from them after I presented them to their noses and mouths. It seems like they’re a little bit harder to chew, and that the smell and taste were not pleasant for either Dog. I do not recommend them. I did find other brands like Bocce and Blue dental sticks were hits. Very disappointed in the new direction for NPIC. My older dog is 13 1/2 and refused to even start having breakfast until she had her twistix in the past.

But when my smaller ate it, it was extremely dry causing it to break apart and almost splinter. I was too afraid that it would hurt him so I can’t recommend these to anyone.

The golden manages to chew for a few minutes. I question how much the product does given they don’t spend a long time chewing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Idk if it’s just because my dog needs a tooth pulled, but these weren’t SUPER effective. You could slightly smell the mint on his breath but it wasn’t very strong. I also think they’re a little big for the small dogs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs love these FLOSSta Dual Action dog chews. I have two standard poodles, and they are both really enjoying these chews. When they hear me opening the bag, they run to me and anxiously await their treat. I try my hardest to get them treats that help keep them healthy. So, knowing that these will help with their oral health is a great plus. I would definitely keep getting them. They get a treat they like, and it helps them with dental health.

He loved them; it took him a few minutes to eat them, not as fast as a jerky treat but not super long either. With the texture and length of time it took him to chew them up, the definitely seemed to be working. It’s hard to fully judge their effectiveness but he liked them and his breath smelled fine after he ate them.

And takes my dogs about 10 mins to fully eat the whole thing, it doesn’t upset their stomach. They come running when they hear the bag opened. For my smaller dogs I break the stick in half and share one stick between two.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These chews are pretty hard. That can be a great thing for dogs that need to slow down a little, and it's definitely good for their teeth. My dogs were crazy about the flavor. It's difficult to see the chew in the photo of my dog because he kept moving away so that he could hide it from me. I did have to watch my other dog because she tried to swallow it whole - that's a her problem and doesn't reflect on the product (just a helpful tip for anyone who has a similar chow hound).

These come in a strong package that includes several units and the package is resealable. I give him one a day and we will definitely continue to use them.
