Joerg Meyer 1.0 out of 5 stars Works with Alexa and Google Home, but has many restrictions (Update: No longer works with Alexa) Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2019 Verified Purchase Universal Smart Remote has many restrictions. Integration with Alexa and Google Home is restricted to built-in devices. DIY IR codes (learning mode) are not supported by Alexa or Google Home. While Alexa supports all remote buttons, Google Home is restricted to turning the device On or Off (no volume control). The IR learning mode is restricted to IR remotes that operate in the 38kHz range. Many remotes operate in a wider range (36-50kHz) and are therefore not supported, e.g. AT&T Uverse (some models) or XBox One. Update (September 2020): The Alexa skill just disappeared.
