This router is doing great! I got this router for my in-laws because the router provided by their internet provider wasn't doing that great of a job. They are extremely happy with it!

Very easy to setup and install if you use the App. Could not get it to install correctly through a browser. Speed is fantastic and the quality of the product seems exceptional, however range is less than I would really like.

I have tried many brands of wifi routers and I can honestly say nothing has compared to netgear. This is my 6th upgrade and they keep getting better. For the price you pay you should always feel protected and have amazing speeds and with the RAXE500 it definitely doesn't let you down. Perfect for gaming, home security, home automation, laptops, desktops, cell phones and everything in between. Our home has so many wireless devices so keeping up with the speed, downloads and everything has always been our first goal and netgear has never let us down. Very easy to set up and with the nighthawk app its very convenient to see exactly what is on your network at any time and with thw security features its easy to shut down the wifi for the kids at bedtime. If you have never tried netgear especially the nighthawk, you definitely should give it a go because they will not let you down.

I replaced an older Netgear router, hoping to have a stronger wifi signal, and for the wifi signal to go farther thru my house. Since this router was saying it was good for 3000Sq ft. home, I bought the tri band nighthawk. It works ok, but my signal is the same as the older router I had. But I will keep it, and just call it a pricey replacement, I wont call it an upgrade since everything works the same as the older netgear that i have.

I was holding out for a better router for years until I finally moved to a bigger house and decided to upsize. This router has been faster and more consistent that my previous router. Furthermore, it took minutes to set up with the app.

Router outclasses the router provided by the ISP. Speeds I'm getting are super fast. Easy set up and the monitoring app functions well.

This router is well worth the buy. It’s fully compatible with Spectrum services in New York, and it was easy to configure using the native Nighthawk app. Once you’re connected to your ISP, don’t forget to finish the configuration in the app to ensure your WiFi is secure before using it. Blazing, secure speeds await. 😎

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After hours on the phone with Netgear I was advised to return the device. The person I was working with was kind and helpful, the product just didn't work.

Despite us not having any consoles or devices yet that use the 6ghz band (eventually we’ll get a ps5 pro and a pc and/or a new macbook), the 5ghz band performs phenomenally for our xbox one, ps5 (standard), macbook air 2019, 3 iphones, and an ipad. With all these devices connected at the same time, I still get between 300-410 mbps on my xbox one while playing online.

    Great hardware - sad software

As the title states, great hardware burdened and under utilized by poor software. Netgear really wants you to use the Nighthawk app instead of logging into the router through the web interface. The Nighthawk app does not provide nearly enough accessibility to operate this router properly. The web interface constantly kicks the user out and is buggy. Had to wipe out the router and go back to factory settings just to turn off SmartConnect (and then had to rebuild all my settings). Updated firmware has not been released since Dec 2023.

Bought this RAXE500 instead of the newer Nighthawk series because the reviews were better. Setup in my 2100 sq ft house was easy using the Android App but I needed to use the browser version to set up the Guest Network which I set up as a 2.4 GHz network to deal with some legacy devices. Coverage is top notch, although the coverage for my wife's office on the other side of the house from the router, although still very good was not excellent. I added an older 2.4 and 5 GHz extender half way between her computer and the router and now the coverage is really excellent everywhere including the back porch and the front porch. Best router I have ever owned. I'm 73 years-old and I have had a lot of routers. Highly recommended while you can still get one.
