Q: Is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum (1 oz pump bottle) the same product as Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum? If not, what are the differences besides packaging?

A: Hey Carla, that's a really great question! There are some formulation differences between these two products. For example, the Hydrating Serum uses dimethicone, dimethiconol, ethylhexylglycerin, and bisabolol as skin conditioners while the Hyaluronic Acid Serum doesn't have any of those ingredients! The main difference you may notice, would be things like the consistency of the product and the method of application.

I tried this out months ago when my skin was feeling a little dull. It helped boost the moisture and made my skin feel and look brighter. It goes on smooth and has barely any scent. The bottle is very cute and the ingredients are easy to understand.

This was so good I bought the whole hydro boost line for neutrogena. It doesn’t suffocate your pores while still hydrating effectively. It immediately gets absorbed and left my skin looking dewy and moisturised.

For the last five years I've been using this product, and it is very hydrating and my skin looks much better than it would otherwise. But in the last few months or nearly a year, something in the formula has changed where it feels tacky once it dries on my face. Little pieces of lint stick to my face and it's so irritating. For many years I had used this without a moisturiser and it had seemed to make a big difference, but now I have to layer a moisturiser on top of it. I wish companies would not mess with a formula that works well already, and give us consistency without diminishing quality. Also, I find that it works well for extra supple skin with both Clinique 100 hour moisturizer and also the Neutrogena Hydro boost moisturizer.

I use HA twice a day, every day and am always willing to try out different brands, so was super excited to try out this Neutrogena Hydro Boost Ultra Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. Once I first tried Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost HA serum, I havent gone back to any other brands! It’s my all time favorite HA serum and each bottle lasts a good 2 months for me! My skin just drinks this Hyaluronic Acid up!! It’s more of a milky like substance but isn’t thick at all! Not sticky and super hydrating! No fragrance that I can smell! I really do love this Hydro Boost and will absolutely be ordering again once I run out. And am also going to try some of Neutrogena’s other “hydro” products!!

I love all my Neutrogena products, it's all I use on my face. After I wash my face with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Face Cleanser, I put a dab or two on and it feels wonderful. I then put on my Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Moisturizer and I feel like my skin is protected and smooth. It's so soft all day long. No harsh odor at all and never sticky. Washes off very easily. My skin has never felt better.

I have been using this serum for 3-4weeks , so if you’re looking for something that hydrates your skin and moisturizes then you got this!!! The Quality is sooo amazing and it leaves your skin plum and hydrating and texture is little slightly thicker which absorbs into skin in 4-5seconds!!! Doesn’t smell weird at all.

It is super lightweight, a little sticky to the touch , but it’s so good before applying makeup or even just on its own. I usually apply it after I wash my face and spray witch hazel toner.

I bought this after seeing a bigger Jennifer Garner did....I know silly but hey why not. Wow I am so impressed. My skin looks and feels amazing. I'm blown away that something so cheap is so effective. I used to layer it on, but I think one little drop mixed with my moisturizer works much better.

I’ve tried a number of HA products and this is the best. Dries well without a sticky finish and sits well under makeup. Never causes breakouts or burns my sensitive skin - even when Microneedling. I let it sink in a few minutes before applying anything else and I believe it’s worked wonders layered with my Retinol - to not dilute it but lets it be absorbed while still combating the drying effects. Not sure what the blue dots are there for but they do dissolve.
