It’s effective for day and night. The texture is very smooth and keeps lips hydrated. It has taste like fruit. The applicator with one pinch is perfect.
Nice one

I’m really upset about this new formulation, it has a horrible taste!!! I haveI have been using Sheer shimmer for years and the new formulation isn’t even the same shade or color! Why change a good thing? It was always sold out and hard to find because it was so popular. Im So mad!
New shade, same name. Disappointed.

I have used the soft caramel shade for over 13 years. I would never be without it. Under the new packaging, the shade has changed and not for the better. Its more of a burnt brown / rusty color instead of the perfect soft caramel that it was.

I love the color but I would never use this as a stand alone lip balm. I bought this and the next day bought the regular (black container) lip balm. That one is amazing and actually feels hydrating. This one feels like lip stick and a bit heavy. However, I am happy to have a lip stick alternative like this!

I loved the old formula of Sunny Berry spf 20 (black casing). It was moisturizing, no taste, beautiful tint. I have tossed all lipsticks and have only used this balm for years. I purchased the new formula and hate the taste! I returned it and am forced to find something else that compares to the original formula. Please bring back the original!

I purchased this tinted lip balm since I want to protect my lips from UV rays - this one has SPF 20 and is a great addition to my lipcare routine, especially now that I will be outside more in the spring and summer months. I got the Sunny Berry color, which is a darker red/raspberry color. I favor darker reds on my lips, and this one was perfect. The tint is subtle but enough to replace my lipstick; I just swipe this lip balm on and am all set! My lips definitely feel softer and actually more moisturized, so I think the balm absorbs well, rather than just sitting on top of my lips. I also love the scent of the balm - it doesn't smell like sunscreen like how some other lip balms with SPF do; it smells like berries!

Heartbroken. This was my holy grail for years. I can't use it now due to the change in formula. The taste makes me sick. Please, please, please Neutrogena... change back to old formula... it was the best.
New formula is terrible, will not buy again!

why did you change this product??? I have been using this for more years than I can count, every single day, I preferred this over all of my expensive lipsticks and glosses. The taste is absolutely vile now! this makes me so sad that you have ruined this, this was my go-to holy grail lip product, I recommended it to anyone who would listen. I will never buy this again, the taste it leaves in my mouth is so disgusting. I am guessing you switched because of cheaper ingredients, well you are going to lose money in the end because loyal past customers will stop buying and new customers will never repurchase. I hope you are listening to all of these reviews. would give zero stars if i could.

This has been the only lip product i have used for years because it was so wonderful. Now with the new formula it is no longer the same product in any way. The smell, taste, color, and moisturizing ability is all bad now. This went from a five star product to a one star product. i would love to know the thought process that went into this change.

The old formula was UNSCENTED AND HAD NO BAD TASTE! An amazing product has been ruined with these changes. so many of the neutrogena products have an "unscented/sensitive" option - would this be possible here?? with the new changes, you've lost a long-time customer

The color (fresh plum) is gorgeous…but when you put it on you can taste it and it’s absolutely disgusting, leaves a medicinal chemical-y taste in your mouth the ENTIRE time. Would not recommend despite the amazing color.

I agree with the other reviewers that the change to the active ingredients leave the worst tasting flavor in your mouth because it’s inevitable that you get some in your mouth and it is awful and also I feel that the color wasn’t as as flattering as the old formula
Just ok

I bought this for the tint and spf. The healthy blush color was more brownish than shown in the online photos, and it felt a bit grainy. It did seem to last pretty long, but was definitely not transfer resistant. It was OK, but I will not re-purchase.

They have recently changed the formula (and packaging) of this product. It’s not nearly as moisturizing and tastes terrible (not that lip balm is for eating…. But some does get into your mouth during wear, and this new formula tastes bitter and gross). I couldn’t wait to wipe it off after applying on my drive home!
