Stops Charging When Connected to Mount
I should have read the reviews first. It stops charging when connected to the mount. Seems there is interference from the dash magnet. Works fine when connected to charger and orbiter only, but stops once mounted to the ball. Bought 2 of these, seems to not be worth the money.

Used Niteize clips in the military. Bought a mag safe charger and a usbc car adapter for the mount only to find out that it doesnt work when attaching the metal steelie to the magsafe:(. Huge let down

Great product!

Gets the job done. Works like a charm
If you already have the ball attachment on your dash, this is a great way to upgrade your current mount with your mag safe iPhone. I don’t use the mag safe adapter for charging so I don’t have any feedback on how that works. I don’t even use any other mag safe products but I’m impressed that this hold on well. I live in St. Louis and we have mega pot holes here. it hold onto the phone, even when hitting big numbs and holes in the road.

Great idea but….
Holds phone great but charging stops every time the MagSafe charger is put on the mount. I’m using all Apple chargers and cases, phony charges perfectly when not on the mount so it must be the magnets in the mount. Super bummed.

MagSafe charging
I added two metal plates to the back of the MagSafe charger and it fixed my non-charging issue. Got the plates out of a wixgear kit but I think you can buy them separately

My Apple MagSafe charger will not work when it is connected to the orbiter. I have other ones that are fine.

The most secure method out there.
Nothing works as well as the Orbiter for making your phone secure. The clip is so much stronger than pressure applied rubber clasping methods, where so often when you pull on your phone the whole attachments comes off at the same time, very frustrating.

Not tested enough
The metal ring is too skinny and there's not enough 3M adhesive surface area. The ring fell off my phone case w/i a week from mounting/unmounting the phone on the magnet. The old style with the single metal circular disk was rock solid for years. I'm looking to melt or superglue the ring onto my case.

The Orbiter Plus Magnetic Socket is specially designed to align with the magnets inside MagSafe iPhones, and cases, connecting right onto the back of your phone. Weak magnetic hold! Joe what we expected.
For the solid metal ball on the dash we purchased, we expecting this orbiter to securely attach with the magnet and needless to say it does not. My phone falls off the ball more often than it is secured. The magnet does not have a strong hold at all. A bit of a disappointing purchase.

I love this device!
I bought this about a month ago and I love it! It’s so easy to pop in and out of the car when I’m running around town. Just need a way to purchase additional metal rings. I drive a semi and sometimes the truck bounces pretty good, so I need the additional strength to keep from bouncing off. I highly recommend this product, and it works with ALL the various mounts they sell.

Stops MagSafe from working
I wished I read the other reviews here before buying. The magnet sticks great. However, it must have some effect on the charging of the MagSafe as it stops charging as soon as it’s connected. Very annoyed. Buyer beware!!
