First time trying one of the Goodfellow & Co products, and not disappointed. I have a drawer full of beard oils but I occasionally use a balm when my beard is feeling dryer than normal. Decided on a whim to try this beard balm out. First of all, I love the scent. It's a very clean and fresh scent, and I continue smelling it throughout the day. The consistency of the balm is somewhat interesting. Other balms I've used are more of a heavy wax. This balm almost has a grainy consistency to it at first. It's very easy to work between your hands to warm up and then spread throughout your beard. I've only been using it for several days at this point, but very happy with it so far. Seems to be keeping my beard moisturized and tame, and my wife loves the scent as well (the real test). I may try other balms for variety, but I wouldn't hesitate to put this in my rotation of products.
I've been using the Moroccan mint & cedar beard balm for a little over a month, and I absolutely love it. I was skeptical at first (usually spending $15+ on balms). But, I've been impressed with Targets Goodfellow and Co clothing line, so I figured I'd try their bath products as well, and I'm glad I did. I dont need to use as much as I would other balms, as its a bit thicker, not wax thick but just enough. Easy to disperse in my beard, and has an amazing smell that I can still smell towards the end of the day. Doesnt leave an oily residue on my face or anything. I'm very impressed with this balm and I hope they dont change up the formula or consistency. I've already got a few friends interested in it and they recommend it now also. I will definitely buy this again, and the Moroccan mint and cedar body wash is great too!
Been using for over a week. Never wrote a review. Here we go. Ingredients listed on the underside of the labeling on the back claims to be certified organic. Nothing synthetic or chemical name sounding in the balm recipe. So that’s a plus. Smell is great. When applied it’s not too over whelming for me. Definitely can smell the moraccan oil in it. I pick up hints of baby powder in the scent giving off the fragrance of fresh and clean. The consistency is a bit thicker than most balms I’ve tried. It feels like a cross between balm and wax. It wasn’t hard to get out of the tin like some balms can be. When rubbing it in your hands you might have to work it a bit more than some other balms out there to get it to emulsify. And a little goes a long way. As I described above saying it’s like a cross between a balm and wax I noticed I didn’t need as much of the product like other high end balms that I use to tame a thick curly beard. I get a lot of fly away hairs and have to reapply and comb my beard throughout the day when using other balms. And over applying on balm just makes your beard look greasy. The hold on this balm is fantastic. Even for thick curly beards like mine. I’m able style it how I want and keep it fairly straight and manageable. Very impressed with it so far. Im assuming more scents will be coming out in time because the No. 03 was the only fragrance that saw on the shelf for the Goodfellow & Co. beard products (oil, balm, shampoo). If Target is going to roll out more of this beard line I hope they don’t change the consistency on the balm and keep the ingredients the same besides releasing different scents. I have no shame in purchasing and using this product. Some people in the beard community have to use brands like BeardBrand and GraveBeforeShave. $7.99 is a good steal. I’ll keep coming back for it. Release more scents. And come out with a beard conditioner.
