This amazing cake pan was everything I hoped it would be! It’s going to be my new obsession. I followed the directions and primed the pan using Pam with flour. The cake slid right out. I cleaned up while the pan was still a little warm and it was a breeze. I made the recipe on the package. It was somewhere between a pound cake and a coffee bread. It had 2 sticks of butter but not a lot of flavor. If I make the recipe again, I would double or triple the amount of lemon zest and add lemon or almond extract. I would also slightly underbake a recipe for this pan. The additional surface area means the outside browns more than I expected. Plus it keeps cooking slightly after it’s removed from the oven and it sits for a few minutes before you can turn it out onto a cooling rack. Thanks to suggestions from commenters on other sites, I used slivered almonds and raisins to make these little bees on top.
