They lay in a bowl beside my stove & I grab them all the time. To pull the rack out of the stove, raise the lid on a boiling pot, get something hot out of the microwave. They are great when you don't need something big.

I've had problems having something to pull the tray from the toaster oven everything was too large until I ordered the gripper set it allows me to grab the edge of the tray in the toaster oven to pull it out

We are a wedding hall, and while we pride ourselves on serving a hot dinner, the plates are murder on the server's hands. These are a perfect solution, providing not just heat protection, but ensure a secure grip. They should be standard in all commercial kitchens. I got mine for home at a kitchen store in a mall, for $1/pair.

it works for what I ordered it for. I pull out the oven grate w/o getting burned.
