It's ok
From the sidewalk, you can't see the candy cane effect at all, it looks like it's faded red. Up close it looks cool but you have to be within 5 feet or less of the rope light to see it as a candy cane. The display photo on the item looks way cooler than in person. It also took over a week to arrive, I want to say it took 8-9 days to get here. Overall it works but it doesn't look great or as pictured and it takes a long time to get delivered.
