A laugh-out-loud, wannabe Horror flick...
This sorry excuse for yet ANOTHER retelling of a Dracula story. This literally was one of THE worst movies I have ever seen in my life! It not only is extremely boring while moving at a snail's pace, but it is not even remotely scary. Which is the biggest tragedy a so-called Horror could cause. In fact, the acting was so bad, and the majority of it so cheesy, it actually made me laugh-out-loud loud on several occasions. Do yourself a favor and just rewatch Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Gary Oldman instead... it's also a tragedy to even compare this garbage to that '90s masterpiece.

A decent watch- would class as Horror/Suspense
Definitely a good addition to my collection of vampire movies- I never stop being impressed by the various ways this genre of movies can all be similar but wholly distinctive from each other! This is not one to watch with the family- definitely not- but as more a horror or thriller- honestly it made me think of similar vampire movies out of the late 90s or early 2000s, like Francis ford Coppola’s Dracula or Wes Cravens Dracula 2000. It has a lot of style, with the characters all played reasonably well! Main female lead is played by Lily Rose Depp and she was suitably creepy and weird especially as the movie went on and Orlok kept getting closer. Aaron Taylor Johnson doesn’t always stick to the accent, but he certainly emotes perfectly well especially given what happens to his family. Did I mention not to watch this with the family? Because you shouldn’t. Hehe it’s a bit funny that the cast treated this like Dracula (British accents) even though it took place in Germany. Though- this pretty much WAS German Dracula so it tracks, haha. Orlok himself was quite imposing- though unfortunately came off as an effect for most of the movie- which I don’t understand why, he seemed to be definitely there for most of his shots- though this can be remedied by perceiving his appearances as alien and otherworldly? >_> … though if I were to name any issue, him looking like an evil (much more evil) version of the guy who played Harvey dent in the dark knight movie is a bit odd. Since I was expecting something more like the original, but I got used to how he looked, and honestly his goals made him very creepy, and would probably make anyone look creepy. Will recommend. Don’t watch with the family- just don’t- lol

Nosferatu 2024 4k Uhd
Pretty amazing. The mood and look of this film are incredible. I pre-ordered on A*azon months ago and it got delayed 3 times. Finally 3 days before delivery it got delayed again. I checked around and target was offering delivery on the release date for a $10 expedited shipping charge so I did. Then it also got delayed by 1 day which was slightly irritating but it's only one day then lo and behold target refunded my entire Shipping charge and it was delivered albeit one day late. I was pretty impressed. I would do much more target purchases of movies if they had quicker shipping times but they also don't seem to be completely destroying the planet
