I can’t begin to tell you just how wonderful this conditioner is! I honestly didn’t want to do a review so I could keep this wonderful hair goodness to myself! I have naturally curly hair and had to take chemo pills and boy did that take away a bunch of my curls. I started using this conditioner and BAM my curls started coming back to life! I am in love with my hair again and all the thanks goes to Not your Mother’s magical conditioner!
This product did not work for my 2A wavy hair. After a wash, my hair did not feel clean the next day. The texture of the conditioner at application was sticky and lacked "slip" like other conditioners. Rinsing it off was unpleasant, it leaves a squeaky feeling that felt like it was drying my hair out. Maybe it formulated this way, but the next morning my hair still had conditioner residue and overall just felt unclean despite rinsing thoroughly in the shower.
It feels good in my hair and definitely moisturizes my curls, but I wouldn't say this enhances them necessarily. Also, both times I've bought it, the pump has been stuck/broken no matter what I do to try and twist or fix it.
I recently tried this to help manage my wavy curly hair and reduce frizz from the Florida heat. The product smelled great and moisturized my hair without weighing it down. It tamed my frizz too and helped restore my natural waves which I usually blow dry straight. It left my hair super soft!
Finally a non coconut based CG approved curly hair conditioner!

I can't use coconut oil in my hair - it makes it brittle. Most curly hair or CG approved products use coconut. This doesn't (THANK YOU), but has amazing slip (for CG standards) and has left my 2c / 3a thick semi coarse hair very soft. Though I still have frizz, my hair looks and feels very healthy, and you know it's not just because it's coating it in silicones. I haven't tried the shampoo but I recommend the conditioner. It's gentle enough to use as a detangler, and I might use it as a leave in as well (I didn't like the NYM yellow bottle leave in spray).
My stylist says I have thin hair but a lot of it. The ends of my hair have a tendency to get pretty dry. This conditioner doesn’t do much for the dryness of my hair and the frizz that I get when I let my hair air dry.
