Erythritol is a naturally-occurring sugar alcohol derived from a corn source and is naturally found in small amounts in various plants, fruits and fungi, including mushrooms. It contains virtually no calories (95% less calories than table sugar), has a low glycemic impact, and doesnt contribute to tooth decay. Basically all the bad things about sugar are absent in Erythritol, yet it tastes just like sugar and is about 70% as sweet.

I would recommend this product as you can replace sugar with this sweetner. There is no after taste and no carbs. I use it for everything. You can also grind it in a coffee grinder to make it like confectioners.

It’s the only sweetener that I use. I like it because it has no after taste an doesn’t break down during baking. I do find it a bit pricey but at the end of the day it seems to be worth it to me.
