I don't know how everyone else seems to love this rug. It is beautiful albeit a tad more muted than photos show. However, it sheds SO much and is very scratchy to walk on. I am vacuuming up pieces of fluff every day, and it adds so much dust in the air. If you walk on it with bare feet, you will drag dust and fibers all over the house.

I JUST got it today and it’s thicker than I expected which I liked however it came damp and smelling like lake water despite it being double wrapped. Love the rug but disappointed in delivery

I have had this rug for 3.5 years. It is so beautiful - whoever designed the pattern and colors is a wonderful human being. But the shedding is *insane* as other reviewers have mentioned. I could (and should) vacuum it daily but don’t have the time. So tiny fibers are *everywhere* in the house on hard floors, and I worry that my kids and I are breathing them in. I swear to you, I sweep the floors twice in a row and there are still fibers on the floor - I can’t believe there is still a rug left. I also have a small wire tool that you can brush rugs/fabric with to pull off lint and fibers, and what comes off the rug is unbelievable. My mom has been telling me for years to give up on this and I’ve resisted because of how lovely it is, but unfortunately I think the time has come.

Nice rug for the money. First rug came with bleeding of the dye in certain spots. I emailed customer service and they promptly sent another rug at no charge. Received and this rug is in good shape.

It’s even more beautiful in person! The red is not as vibrant, which I was hoping for, and the blues fade into the background more than they do in the photo. When you look at it you mostly notice the pink and orange. It’s also very soft!

Let me start by saying that the beauty of this rug is NOT worth the amount of amount of shedding it does. Every day I’m pulling up piles and piles of rug. I can’t let my 3.5 month old lay on a blanket on the floor because she is constantly getting rug shedding on her hands and in her mouth. There is rug hair EVERYWHERE. No amount of sleeping or vacuuming will get rid of it. I’ve had my rug for a couple of weeks and plan to arrange an exchange for something less high maintenance and messy. The rug it’s self has beautiful colors and is nice and thick but it’s just not worth the trouble.

It’s very thick so it doesn’t feel like I even need a rug pad and our dog and baby love the feel of it. I fell in love with this rug at first sight and I’m so happy I purchased it. The reason I held a star back is because of the shedding. I read all the reviews and I knew it was going to happen, BUT DANG! It’s a lot of shedding, ya’ll. I’ve never owned a new wool rug before so this might be normal… in which case I give the star back. Totally worth it if you don’t plan on sitting on the floor a whole lot.
