I have always used Ocean Spray Whole Cranberry Sauce. Unfortunately the recipe must have changed. It was so watery that we used a fork to catch the few berries that were in it and poured the rest down the drain. It also seemed sweeter than normal.

The contents of the Cannes were mostly sugary gel with very few cranberries. So disappointing. I also did not want a sauce with high fructose corn syrup in it, but purchased it because it was the only option at my store.

In the past, I had to use a knife to remove the contents from the can. It would slide out so I could slice it, as it should be. Now, you just pour it out. It looks like you have changed your recipe in order to give us a lot less of the berries and a lot more water. This review is from a can marked "29FEB24" "3KW2236".

Now this is so gross, whole stems in every single bite, yet no whole berries. High fructose corn syrup? The stems in this were literally REPULSIVE. THIS is totally different than what you used to make,I guess I'll be making my own from now on.

I have used many cans of wholeberry cranberry sauce in my holiday cooking for years. NEVER AGAIN! Cans of liquid cranberry juice with MAYBE 12 cranberries floating in it is not acceptable! I will be making my own in the future..

They've ruined this product, as others have mentioned. It's all gelatinous gunk (comprised of high fructose corn syrup/water/additional corn syrup) with just a few crushed berries. i think I counted 5 crushed berries in the entire pile of gunk. This products is now a rip-off and Ocean Spray should be ashamed.

We understand your concerns. However, Cranberries are naturally low in sugar and require sweetening for consumers to enjoy the taste and reap the benefits. There is no scientific evidence that suggests high fructose corn syrup acts differently in the body than any other sweetener. Based on consumer request, we removed high fructose corn syrup from our juices and juice drinks several years ago, replacing it with cane or beet sugar. However, high fructose corn syrup remains the best sweetener for our cranberry sauces and its continued use allows us to provide the quality product you expect from us.

Why? Why would they put that garbage in a can of otherwise healthy cranberry sauce except as a filler and to save the company $? People cook for hours on Thanksgiving and you put HFCS on your dining table? I bought Simple Truth Organic in a can this year for .30 more. This company needs to clean up their act!

I used to go out of my way to find Ocean Spray Whole Berry Sauce - it was unquestionably the best product on the market (apart from homemade), however the last four cans in a row have been a HUGE disappointment . . . . 3/4 of the can filled with watery 'sauce' and I literally had to rummage in the bottom to find a half a dozen berries each for my husband and I. Judging by the other reviews on this page I'm not alone. Buck up, Ocean Spray -- bring back the good stuff, however you've lost this customer.
