Q: Did the fragrance change for this product? it used to have a kind of natural coconut fragrance. However, I bought it recently and it smells like microwave popcorn, completely different.

I tried using it after my shower before blow drying my hair, and I tried it after my shower after blowing drying my hair. I woke up and it made my hair look super super greasy. I didn’t like it and I want to use it because it makes my hair soft and shiny but whatever I do it’s greasy How can I prevent my hair from not looking greasy when using this oil?

This was my go to leave in serum for my hair, it made it soft and silky! It is also easy to find at many drugstores and smells great! The top can turn to lock and prevent from leaking but I would still bag it before travel.

I put this in my hair after I straighten it, curl it, sometimes when it’s looking a little dry, anytime! It doesn’t make your hair looks greasy and it’s so lightweight and helps not only get rid of the look of split ends but it also nourishes them too!

usually after I take a shower and my hair dries it gets frizzy and dry on the under layer. i rubbed in a couple drops on my towel-dried hair after a shower, and my hair was super soft and smooth. this was after one use. definitely recommend!

I used to buy this, stopped for a few years, and expected the same product this time around. I was wrong or my memory is wrong, but this smelled more like popcorn than coconut, which is bothersome through the day as the scent wafts with every move of your hair.

I used to use this brand pretty exclusively. I liked the scents of the product and it seemed to cleanse my hair nicely. I liked it until I noticed that my hair was drastically thinner compared to the start of me using their products. I stopped immediately and within months my hairs started growing back and filling back in. I worked in the beauty industry at the time and had many friends that used their products and noticed the exact same issue with hair loss. It’s not worth it. Do not use these products. There’s so many better products out on the market in this price range.

I honestly felt like I was never going to find something that worked for my coarse hair. I’m in love with this serum. My hair has finally found balance. It doesn’t make my hair oily and it has healed all the breakage. Definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you like coconut fragrances you will LOVE this. Aside from TBS coconut shower cream and lotion, this is the closest I've ever got to a true, strong coconut fragrance. As for performance? My dislike of silicones aside, it does a brilliant job at making my hair softer, more manageable and less frizzy...to the point where I can overlook the ingredients aspect of it. I just use half a pump of this, no more and I'm good to go. Zero weighing down or oiliness. Just tangle-free hair that I can brush through without breakage. To avoid greasy roots I would strongly suggest to leave at least 1-2 inches above scalp when you apply to your hair. Some of it will naturally travel down due to gravity any way, so keep that in mind. Only slight dislike is the pump as it's not ideal for travel...and I always end up putting into a sealable bag as it can quite easily dispense on its own when jostled around in my suitcase. The pump is also prone to breaking if dropped (as I have done!) but again not a deal breaker for me, as the product works well enough for me to overlook packaging flaws and at worst I can just empty into another bottle with a pump that I can pick up from most cosmetic stores for a couple of bucks.

Even if you just use a pea size amount it makes your hair super stringy and GREASY. The smell is WAY too strong as well..

This serum is great. I’ll either apply some on my scalp and mid lengths to ends and let it sit for 20+ min before I shower, or I’ll use a small amount on the ends after washing my hair. I live in a dry climate so it doesn’t leave my hair oily but it definitely helps keep my hair moisturized. It doesn’t make my scalp itchy or anything. No complaints!

Admittedly I usually only use high end products, but I bought this from the drugstore in a pinch and just didn’t like it. It didn’t feel like it penetrated my hair and just made me feel greasy.

I apply a small amount to the ends of my hair after washing and it makes them so soft. The smell is amazing. I would suggest using a wee bit and applying it from mid-length to ends as it can be greasy.
