Q: I bought this soap Dispenser and I love it. I did not expect the pump to rust inside. It was only used for hand soap in the bathroom. Is it not rust proof? Im struggling to buy a new one to replace it with.

submitted by M - 5 years ago

  • A: I have several of these and I've not had any problems with rust. I've bought others where I have a problem with this green stuff that forms around the edges of the cap. I don't have that problem with this soap dispenser. These are awesome!

submitted byPurdueStar - 5 years ago

  • A: I find that taking the pump off and pumping water through it and rinsing it helps keep it clean and functioning.

submitted byMoe - 2 years ago

  • A: Hi, I’ve had three of these for over five years now, and with regular cleaning, there haven’t been any issues with rust.

submitted byzminmaryland - 5 years ago

  • A: There is nothing in the description, or details that states this item is rust proof.

  • A: Did you ever find a replacement pump? Mine has gone bad and I'm having trouble finding even a plain pump that fits.

submitted bySmrdt - 3 years ago

Q: My pump has gone bad. Does anyone know the specific size that it is so I can order a replacement? The 33-400 one I ordered and thought would fit doesn't. Hate throwing such a nice container :(

submitted by Smrdt - 3 years ago

  • A: Was the 33-400 too big or too small?

  • A: I have the same problem. All of my pumps have rust and and the tip has no paint any more. I'd like to replace the pumps but there's no information about them in the description.

Q: Is the dispenser top made from Stainless Steel?

submitted by Ms S - 5 years ago

  • A: No it is plastic. It is painted a chrome silver and looks good.

submitted byStressed Mom - 4 years ago

  • A: Hi Ms S - We appreciate you getting in touch. The dispenser top is made of nickel-plated plastic. I hope this information helps with your decision. Have a great week. - Kimberly

Q: Is the top gold or silver

submitted by Mrs h - 5 years ago

  • A: The top is silver, and I’ve had a few of these for several years. Most of the review complaints are for the tops. Just know that you may need to clear the pump top once in a while by taking it off, submerging it in water, and pumping it until it runs clear before putting it back on. It works great but needs a bit of maintenance here and there.

submitted byzminmaryland - 5 years ago

  • A: Hi Vanessa - Great question! The top is silver! We hope that helps you make a purchase decision! - Tom

Q: Just like many others have stated, the pumps on all six of mine have stopped working. I would like to replace just the top with a regular pump mechanism but I can’t seem to find any that will fit. Specifically what size should fit?

Guests are saying

This soap dispenser features a stylish design that appeals to many guests, making it a beautiful addition to any kitchen or bathroom. However, numerous reviews highlight significant issues with the pump mechanism, which tends to fail after a few months of use. While some guests appreciate its aesthetic appeal and initial functionality, the recurring problems with the pump and leaks have led to disappointment for many. Guests seeking a reliable soap dispenser may want to consider alternatives.

    Pump mechanism breaks quickly

Cute design, but not practical. The pump mechanism breaks a few months after purchase & I’ve seen a lot of reviews that say the same. It’s also almost impossible to find a replacement pump that will actually work, at least from what I’ve seen so far.

Does Not Work With Gel Soap

I bought a set of two: one for lotion, one for soap. This bottle works for lotion, but it does not generate sufficient pressure to dispense gel soap after the bottle drops below three-quarters full. It also leaks soap around the top. I have replaced this product with another of the same, and the replacement has the same issue; it is a design flaw.

    Terrible soap dispenser

Within a few months, the top of the soap dispenser started to tarnish. It looks to be rusted and turns the soap blue when it comes out. The pump also stops working after awhile and doesn’t pump soap out.

Pump breaks after a few months

Pump breaks after a few months of use. Not worth it. Also the silver is more like a brassy nickel color, not close to chrome at all, looked out of place. The glass texture is cute but the dispenser head barely stands up to normal use.

    Corrodes easily and terrible quality

Looks nice and works well initially. But then soap started leaking out from the top of the pump and corroded the top. The picture is after wiping off the corroded blue material. Unfortunately, not worth getting it, even if free.

    Breaks before 1 year

I don’t give up easily so when it stopped working the first couple of times, I was able to fix it. I deep cleaned it with warm water, got rid of air bubbles, checked on springs and metal balls etc. Now 9 months after purchase no cleaning or tinkering was working. The plastic had somehow rusted and cracked so I think the seal is fully compromised. Not sure how that happened considering metal balls and spring are not rusted at all. Since it’s cracked there is no way to fix the pump. Additionally, the soap kept pooling around the top, eventually wearing away the metal effect on the plastic. From Threshold I was expecting better. Only positives are that it lookED pretty and the glass is nice quality.

    Iffy Pump but Too Cute

The other reviews are true - I bought two of these and after about a year, the one I put dish soap in stopped working. Unfortunately, these are the only soap dispensers I've been able to find in this style with a metal pump so I will just repurchase to replace. Although definitely annoying, I'm not super upset about having to replace after one year of basically daily use. I just wish they sold just the pump so I didn't have to replace the whole thing!

Pump stopped working, too late to return

I've had this pump for about 6-8 months. I had problems with the pump about 2 months in that I was able to resolve, but not this time. The dispenser is nice, but the pump is a major annoyance. Don't buy!
