Q: I bought this soap Dispenser and I love it. I did not expect the pump to rust inside. It was only used for hand soap in the bathroom. Is it not rust proof? Im struggling to buy a new one to replace it with.

A: I have several of these and I've not had any problems with rust. I've bought others where I have a problem with this green stuff that forms around the edges of the cap. I don't have that problem with this soap dispenser. These are awesome!

A: The top is silver, and I’ve had a few of these for several years. Most of the review complaints are for the tops. Just know that you may need to clear the pump top once in a while by taking it off, submerging it in water, and pumping it until it runs clear before putting it back on. It works great but needs a bit of maintenance here and there.

Terrible soap dispenser
Within a few months, the top of the soap dispenser started to tarnish. It looks to be rusted and turns the soap blue when it comes out. The pump also stops working after awhile and doesn’t pump soap out.

Pump breaks after a few months of use. Not worth it. Also the silver is more like a brassy nickel color, not close to chrome at all, looked out of place. The glass texture is cute but the dispenser head barely stands up to normal use.

Corrodes easily and terrible quality
Looks nice and works well initially. But then soap started leaking out from the top of the pump and corroded the top. The picture is after wiping off the corroded blue material. Unfortunately, not worth getting it, even if free.

Breaks before 1 year
I don’t give up easily so when it stopped working the first couple of times, I was able to fix it. I deep cleaned it with warm water, got rid of air bubbles, checked on springs and metal balls etc. Now 9 months after purchase no cleaning or tinkering was working. The plastic had somehow rusted and cracked so I think the seal is fully compromised. Not sure how that happened considering metal balls and spring are not rusted at all. Since it’s cracked there is no way to fix the pump. Additionally, the soap kept pooling around the top, eventually wearing away the metal effect on the plastic. From Threshold I was expecting better. Only positives are that it lookED pretty and the glass is nice quality.

Iffy Pump but Too Cute
The other reviews are true - I bought two of these and after about a year, the one I put dish soap in stopped working. Unfortunately, these are the only soap dispensers I've been able to find in this style with a metal pump so I will just repurchase to replace. Although definitely annoying, I'm not super upset about having to replace after one year of basically daily use. I just wish they sold just the pump so I didn't have to replace the whole thing!

Terrible quality. Do not waste your money.
I purchased two of these for my dish soap and hand soap at the kitchen sink. Aesthetically they are incredibly pleasing, but one of them stopped pumping after only a couple of months. I returned it and bought another one, and that one only lasted six weeks. If you can believe it, I actually tried a third time and that one only lasted about the same amount of time before it stopped pumping. They absolutely don’t hold up to every day use, no matter how cute they are, it’s not worth it. Don’t waste your money on these.
