I was really looking forward to trying the Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner because my hair tends to be on the dry side and I thought the added moisture would help. The texture is rich and creamy, and it definitely feels like it coats and protects each strand. While it did give my hair some softness and helped with dryness, it also felt a little too heavy for my fine hair. Instead of leaving me with silky movement and volume, my roots went flat and my hair looked weighed down more quickly than I’d like. For someone with thick, coarse, or very damaged hair, this level of hydration would probably be amazing, but for fine hair that still needs moisture, it felt a little over the top. To me, there wasn’t anything special about this conditioner, it really is very similar to any high end conditioner I’ve tried.. which does mean it is a good conditioner, it’s just not the best thing ever.i will say it did make a difference when I used it the “right way”. (Basically the way the directions say) The directions say to leave it in for a few minutes, and I’d definitely recommend doing that because when I rinsed right away, it just felt like any normal conditioner, but when I actually let it sit, my hair came out softer and smoother and a little easier to manage. The texture is nice and spreads through my hair well, and it doesn’t have much of a smell, it’s similar to a faint Froot Loops smell. which I kind of liked. I really liked this conditioner cause it makes my hair really hydrated and glossy. It gives this perfect glossy hair that i dreamt about. I have a lot of different mask and conditioners , but let me tell you this one is the best... In combination with shampoo it's the best duo. It helped me to grow more hair and now it's not that fine like it was before and it feels so much better. For this price it's the best option. Many conditioners cost this price but none of them do my hair to look that perfect like this one. Olaplex is now my favorite hair brand and I want to try more of their products and discover it more.
