submitted byOlay - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Just FYI, I’ve been researching beads in face cleansers. Apparently the use of plastic micro beads in cosmetic products was banned in the US in 2015. This product contains hydrated silica which is a natural product like sand that’s not harmful to the environment. There are at least 2 reviews giving this product 1 star because they say it contains plastic micro beads - I’m not able to respond to their reviews, but someone should. Hoping this will help stop the spread of misinformation.

These tiny non-scratching skin-polishers, AKA Hydrated Silica, break down while removing dirt and oil. This unique characteristic will prohibit you from over-scrubbing and ultimately protect you from unintended damage of over-exfoliation. Hope this helps!

A: We'd like to apologize for any confusion. Essentially, this is the same thing. Our product does contain Vitamin C and also Salicylic Acid which can also be known as BHA.

This cream cleanser calmed down my sensitive skin! A few days back, I used head and shoulders shampoo to wash my face, thinking that my skin could handle it, BUT NOOO! If you have sensitive skin, don’t do what I did! I’m allergic to coco betaine, so it made sense that I had a terrible reaction. Anyways, I then bought this Olay cream cleanser and it helped calmed my skin down almost immediately! It doesn’t foam or lather, but it’s doing a fantastic job of cleaning my skin without feeling like there’s a film or residue on my face. Highly recommend this cleanser: Non irritating, non stripping, smells amazing (like you left the hotel spa), and it leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft! LOVE IT!

New formula? Not the same. Package is completely different. Says Vitamin E on it now you have to dig through the ingredients to find vitamin c. Definitely a different formula which is not as good as the old one.

I bought this product expecting some sort of scrub or foaming face wash at least. This product has neither, it was like using lotion to clean my face. I'll go back to the detoxifying pore scrub, it smells nice, soaps up, and scrubs.

This is one of the most average face washes I have ever used. It doesn't "regenerate" anything, so don't be fooled. It smells good, but it doesn't do anything that a regular low-end face wash wouldn't do. It definitely does not smooth out your texture. Not even a little bit.

I have sensitive and oily skin, and usually scrubs make both issues worse. I felt like my skin needed an extra scrub and came across this product on a Target run. The price was a little higher than I usually spend on face wash but it was beyond worth it. This product leaves my skin smooth and doesn’t leave me red or oily. It’s part of my skin care routine now!

This is a heavily perfumed product that caused an instant headache. I'm here to clean my face, not smell like perfume. I don't care how well it works, it's getting returned after one use.

I had switched from this to Cetaphil several months ago. What a drastic change to my skin. I’m now back with Olay, and won’t stop. My face is soft, the lines are dismissed, and I look fresh again. This is like a miracle in a tube!
