Old Spice Fiji Antiperspirant Deodorant (Scent of Palm Tree + Coconut) surprised me in a few ways—some good, some not-so-great. First off, the scent is fantastic. Even though it says "Palm Tree + Coconut," it doesn't actually smell tropical at all. Instead, it smells more like a clean, fresh men’s cologne, which I really liked. In terms of performance, it holds up really well. The odor protection lasts well over a day, even though it’s aluminum-free, which is impressive. I never felt like I needed to reapply. The only downside is how white it goes on—and stays. It doesn’t rub in clear or dry invisibly like some other deodorants, so you do have to be careful when putting on darker clothes. If you don’t mind the white residue, it’s a solid pick for anyone who wants something that smells great and works hard without aluminum.

I switched to aluminum-free deodorant several years ago. However, I will be honest, the lack of sweat protection in natural deodorants is sometimes an issue. This is a great formula for when you need to stay dry and smell good. Fiji is a nice mellow scent. You smell clean without being overpowering. I’m happy to have this product for when I need to be certain I’ll stay dry and smell wonderful all day.

I first noticed that there is a knob in the middle of the bottom, which is ok, but I prefer when the whole bottom spins to raise the deodorant. As for the scent of timber, it was very light, I had to really inhale to smell it. ( plus I didn’t really care for the scent). Finally, it was a bit rough to apply to my underarms, not smooth like other deodorants I’ve used. Bottom line, I didn’t care Old Spice Timber deodorant.
