Using Hard As Hoof cream immediately prior to applying press on nails will impact the glue's ability to adhere to your nail, but you can use Hard As Hoof following application. We recommend using Hard As Hoof 3x per day over any nail coating, press on nails included!

This has a light almost coco butter like scent… also smells like coconut. It looks like whipped shea butter but spreads like lotion… so smooth. Can be a little greasy if you use a lot. But this stuff absorbs FAST! A++

Getting acrylics done irritates me and I normally remove them after a few days, wasting money. I received this to try and I was excited to see how it goes. I’ve used this for about a month now, and I’m so excited to share that I’ve had a small amount of growth BUT I’ve been able to file and shape my nails! Normally my nails are so soft and brittle, the filing ends up cutting through my nail and I have to clip them. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone who shares my struggles!

The recommended usage of this cream is 2-3 times a day. I have only used this cream once, so I cannot speak to whether my nails have become stronger or not. It does have a nice texture to it and it soaks in nice, however, I just have to say... THE SMELL IS SO STRONG!!! I applied a tiny amount before bed and could smell it the entire night. I work on the computer all day and cannot wear strong smelling creams on my hands while I work. I'm contemplating what to do with this cream now since I can't use it while I work or sleep. Not recommended for those who are sensitive to strong scents.

This cream has been amazing to heal my damaged nails. About a year ago my otherwise healthy nails began splitting and peeling. I tried so, so many products with mediocre results. Hard As Hoof caught my eye and I purchased it without much hope. WRONG! I keep a jar at home and at work to use throughout the day. My nails have finally stopped peeling and are so much stronger. Love it!!

My toenails were so dry and brittle. They were super thin and broke easily. I used brush on polish treatments to no avail. I tried this and the results were immediate! I woke up the next morning and there were no more white patches or faint lines on my toe nails!! I started using it on my fingernails too. My nails are stronger, they grow faster and the skin around my fingers is smooth too. My cuticles are non existent. Thank you Onyx for saving my fingers and toes!! 💋

Day 3 of using and honestly my nails look more hydrated - pink, slight sheen, obvious healthy appearance. Have only been using at night before bed as opposed to the recommended 3X per day usage because the smell is just horrid. Its a familiar stink - maybe play dough or modeling clay or silly putty. I've not yet placed the stink. It literally makes me dry heave. I apply & stick my hands under the covers to smother the arising odor. Figured I'd review quickly before I stop using the prodct. Sure hope I can continue use because it appears it works.

I just bought my second jar and never give reviews, but thought I absolutely had to for this product. I’ve had acrylic nails for years and was never able to stop because my nails were so damaged. My nails are now amazing after my first jar. Cuticles too! Will use this cream forever:)

The nice creamy cream has helped stop the peeling of my nails allowing them to grow longer and stronger. My cuticles are so much smoother and not so rough. The coconut scent is a little unnatural, but not overbearing. I like the jar. Not sure if it's helping, but my nails aren't getting any worse, so that's a start.
