Was doubtful about this especially as it seems like another trendy product but absolutely love it after eating a homemade pizza dinner from our Ooni. This oven is easy to use and is quite sleek sitting on our deck :). Most likely we'll be eating in instead of ordering delivery when it comes to pizza (and possibly other foods as we use the Ooni more).

This is the third year I have had the gas attachment for my Karu 12. Initially it seemed to work. However, the last two years the gas attachment is a complete piece of junk. It fails to stay lit even after I allow any thermocouple or whatever to heat up to keep the gas flowing. I have wasted too many pizzas with this piece of crap. The oven is great but the gas attachment is useless. Tonight I'd give it zero stars.

This is absolutely brilliant, I bought this along with the gas adaption and it is absolutley brilliant! Having never made my own pizzas before the booklets that came with the oven were so helpful in how to make and how long to leave in, they even had suggestions of toppings. The oven is just brilliant and does a great job with cooking, have used it a good few times and the pizza has tasted so nice! Thanks so much Ooni!

I recently changed over to this model having previously used a karu 12. It’s taken a bit of getting used to but I’m about there now. Main observations are that you need to be a lot more careful regulating temperature - my first efforts were a bit too well cooked! Still that’s all user error and now I’m getting the hang of it I’m very pleased with it. My only other observation is that it gets through wood quicker than you’d think. So that’s it, great fun to use, makes delicious food but a bit less forgiving and beginner-friendly than other models.

It really works well, just need to play around with different fuels and potential temperatures, bought the cast iron skillet, cooked a whole trout with veggies came out great, just experimenting with different pizza bases, but definitely a lot of fun, the wife loves it because she doesn’t have to cook, 😂

Really frustrating experience, from start to finish. It's really cumbersome to get the pizza on and off the pizza stone. The flame is on the top, burning the back half of a labor intensive pizza, while the bottom and center of the pizza is raw dough. I hardly use it, because I need a year or so to recall how much it angers me to use. It's also quite an awkward thing to store. If you'd like to buy a used one cheap, please contact me. I'd like to get rid of it. I have tried with both wood, the propane attachment, and have the storage case.

I tend to put a lot of ingredients on my pizza, and it makes it difficult to get off the peel and onto the stone. But someone told me to cook the pie for a few seconds before putting the ingredients on. This works great for me! I’m using charcoal to get an even and high temperature, and just before cooking the pizza, I throw on some hardwood like oak or cherry. This gets it blazing hot, and creates a good top flame. After maybe 4-5 attempts with not so great results, I now feel that I have a method that works great now!

Purchased the Karu 12 multi-Fuel and it’s great! Easy to use, managing the flame is a cinch. Love that it uses propane, wish I could add a little wood-smoke flavor to it and might experiment with soaked wood in foil packets at some point. But I am now making the best pizza we’ve had where we live and loving it.
