A: The top wooden cart top is solid and sturdy and will hold a toaster oven, lower shelves are metal and can handle a toaster oven. My middle shelf holds 18 heavy ceramic mugs without issues.

Nice Cart, No Wheels
The Cart itself is very nice and quite sturdy, with plenty of storage space on the shelves. My problem with this is that there are no wheels with it. I have been trying to get replacement wheels from the manufacturer and the whole thing has been a nightmare. Weeks in between responses, and their solution wastelling me that they "don't offer the wheels separate and that I need to buy the whole cart" (yup, for real). Now about two weeks ago they said they were reaching out to their warehouse to find the dimensions for the wheels so I could find an option elsewhere and said they would get back to me in 24 hours and two weeks later still crickets. As nice as the cart is I cannot recommend it out of fear others will have to deal with the horrible customer service of the manufacturer.

Beautiful and convenient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wanting an island for awhile and this is perfect! It easily folds up for more room but I mostly keep it setup. It is extremely rugged and supports a lot of weight. The wood top is heavy and beautiful: the photos really don’t do it justice. I also really like the recessed towel/tool bar on the side. I’ve owned other pieces by Origami before but mostly shelving units and was really impressed with this being more of a functional furniture piece. I see this island cart lasting for a long time and have gotten many compliments on it already.

Since my kitchen is small, I lacked counter space, but this island made Thanksgiving cooking a little easier. The wooden surface was perfect for cutting up potatoes and carving the turkey. We placed all the desserts on the shelves and everyone helped themselves. I received numerous compliments, and people were asking me where they could get one for themselves. The quality of the island is amazing, and it's very convenient to have it on wheels. Plus, when not in use, it folds up easily for storage. I love it!"

Great Collapsible Cart
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a convenient side table. The wooden top is super heavy and sturdy. It collapses really flat and easily tucks away. The wheels move smoothly and the locking mechanism is great. You need some elbow grease to open it up since it’s so sturdy but it’s worth it to have something so substantial.

It’s easy to move where we need it, when we need it. Our kitchen is in the process of being remodeled, so our counter space is limited- this came at the right time! We love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cart is the same height as my kitchen island. This gives me extra prep space when cooking large meals. The wooden top is quite heavy so be careful when unfolding for the first time. The wheels came unattached, it is stable with or without the wheels so you have the option to install it or not. The caster wheels are heavy duty and glides well. The top can holds up to 100 lbs, middle and bottom holds 50 lbs each. Folding and unfolding is easy and quick once you got the technique. I recommend this if you are looking for a space for cutting or storing small kitchen appliances.

Wonderful extra kitchen space.
There is no assembly required. It comes in the folded position and you situate it to standing. Super easy only you may need to push down on the top shelf when clamping it down to the standing position. Also I do not use the latch to lock it when storing it away because the chopping block makes it a little top heavy, so I leave it unlatched and it goes in and out of my storage space for it just fine. I love having the extra space when needed in my small kitchen that lacks sufficient counter space. The choping block top is super sturdy. I just am very pleased with this. I wish I had something like this years ago.

Dangerous
On the surface, this looks like a nice product. However, it is shipped with concealed styrofoam and twist ties that make it nearly impossible to “assemble.” I tried for nearly 6 hours without luck. I finally called a friend for help, and she ended up in the ER - nearly losing the tip of her finger. Stay away from this item if you are concerned about safety.
