Perfect if you want a looser curl pattern
I was natural for 6.5 years with 3c low porosity hair. I loved my curls but the shrinkage made wash days and styling it take 2-4 hours, 2x a week. I wanted looser curls not bone straight hair, and this delivered amazingly. I had my hairdresser apply it and I left it in for no more than 15 minutes and my curl pattern went from 3C to 3A and my hair porosity is now normal. No scalp irritation or burning at all. I love love love this product. I’ll now be doing this at least once a year for touch ups. 11 out of 10 recommend

BURNS scalp and didnt give texlax look
I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews. I’ve tried this product twice and each time it burned my scalp like crazy. The first time I thought it was because I irritated my scalp before use (scratching, combing etc), but the second time I was very careful to leave my scalp alone days beforehand and still it burned. This time it was even worse because I have a couple scabs. Overall, it softened my 4c hair, but didn’t give the texlaxed look I was going for. I need to find a different product because I won’t be purchasing again

Perfect for me
I was natural for 2 years but was tired of 8-12 hour wash days. I wanted to keep my curls also so I got this and it’s perfect. I still have my curls and it’s way easier to detangle. Wash days is about 4-5 hours now depending on style. I was a 4b before and now I’m a 3c/4a. If you want bone straight then get a regular relaxer not this. I already purchased again. Have a professional put it in also. My hair is still healthy and full. Wash hair often using products with protein.

The best of both worlds.
I love using this. Only have to apply twice a year. This loosened my coils and helps with detangling. The best part is that I can wear my hair in its natural coily state or I can silk press it and it be as if I got a perm. My silk press lasts 3x as long. I really get the best of both worlds now. Of course if you’re doing this yourself you have to carefully read the instructions as to not burn your scalp or damage your hair.

Waste of time, this product does nothing for 4C hair, it doesn’t even soften it I promise I would’ve been happy with just that. Just get a relaxer or a regular texturizer because you’re going to be mad at the results with your hair stringy in some spots.

Careful not for sensitive scalps
I made the mistake of purchasing this product in hopes of loosening my curl pattern. I admit it worked but it was a painful experience. Despite following the instructions carefully, the product burned my scalp badly in less than five minutes. It was not mild at all, it felt like a super super relaxer. And as if that wasn't enough, the neutralizing shampoo caused even worse burning. I was in so much pain that I had to immediately used another neutralizing shampoo. To make matters worse, the next day my scalp was covered in scabs. I will never use this product again.

Trial and error
I have mixed feelings about this product. For background I have been natural for 2 years, I big chopped and now am at almost shoulder length hair when straight. I am Afro Latina and have 4a/4b hair. Which is more coarse at the crown so that is where I started my application; crown, then base then the front last since my texture is finer at the front. I followed the instructions and set my timer for 13 minutes. I applied more product to the crown than the front. I barely saturated the front. But the front is what achieved my desired result. The crown and back look exactly the same. After neutralizing and using the included conditioner my hair felt so dry. But the leave in it comes with OMG is amazing. I would buy this kit again for the leave in. My advice if your hair is more on the coarse side or you have more than one texture like me start there first wait and then apply the rest. That is what I will do next time. The best part is no burn, no breakage will try again in a few weeks.
