OtterBox Commuter Series Dual Layer Case for iPhone XS Max - Black

I hate the fact that this case has a hard plastic back instead of rubberized like the Defender. I'm used to being able to set my phone down and the Defender's rubber back stoped it from sliding on slightly sloped surfaces. Not so the Commuter. It's hitting the floor a LOT more.

Ok but not what I wanted my old one was rubber all over this one only has rubber on corners

Once I figured out what to remove from my original Otter protector, putting on the new one wasn't too bad. I really like the new design, which is much thinner, it was like getting a completely new phone. Going to get one more for my wife. Thanks

The case is super slick. No contact friction, so you’ll need some grip tape to keep it off the floor and in one piece!

Have had a defender for my iPhone for years, had to replace it when clip broke, went with defender again.

I’ve owned only OtterBox cases for all of my phones as well as my family. They just plain and simply do the job that they were intended to do. Protect your phone. The only gripe, if any would be that not all of their cases come with a little hole for lanyards. In the construction industry where fall protection is vital, we all loved this feature on our older cases. Yes, it’s already a sturdy and rugged case to protect my phone in the event of an accidental drop to the ground but having the ability to secure a small lanyard to the case can mitigate it from falling period. I appreciate your commitment to high quality standards on these cases.

I love the color and feel very secure and safe with my phone in it. I will probably go with a slimmer design next time to slip into my small purse. My son has a symmetry and loves it.

I bought this literally a month ago and it has saved my phone from a few drops that could’ve cracked my screen! The material is very slim, not too bulky and easy pocket fit.

I’ve always used otter boxes. When purchasing this one I noticed the design of the box had changed somewhat - the cases no longer come with a screen protector; it must be purchased separately. I purchased the case and the amplify screen protector. It does not go under the case as old style otter box protectors, but I have been pleased with the protection. The color of the case is lighter in color than pictured online, but is still beautiful.

I am enjoying my all black commuter case for my Apple XS Max, it fits snugly while not being too bulky and has already saved me with a few drops. I highly recommend this product.
