Very disappointed there is not a screen protector with this unit. This is my first order for the iPhone 14. In the past, my otterbox came with a screen protector. Pretty expensive to have to buy a screen protector separate.

Our engineers removed the built-in screen protector from our Defender Series case to ensure complete functionality with the newest devices. Our Defender Series was redesigned in order to provide the same drop protection even without the built-in screen protector. The addition of one of our amazing screen protection options provides your phone with premium protection and outperforms our previous Defender Series designs.

Form, fit, function is quite good. A wider clamp to go over my belt would be a much needed improvement for phone security. A closed loop that would accept a 2” belt is desired.

You can never go wrong with a iPhone otterbox defender case. I would not even think about carrying my phone with out this case and a otterglass screen protector. I can’t count how many times my phone has dropped and when I pick it up there is no damage. I like that there is no screen protector built in cover up the front of my phone, instead I put the otterglass on and you can’t even tell it’s there. I have been using otterbox defender cases since having my 1st iPhone 4.

Have had defender otterboxes for the 3 phones in our household for years. Very satisfied. Finally had to upgrade one from an iPhone 7 Plus to a 14 Plus -- so I needed a new otterbox. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that the defender no longer includes a screen protector -- AND that the *expensive* screen protector you can purchase has mixed reviews. I'm not excited about trying to get the stupid thing to attach and align properly without bubbles. And some reviews say it is NOT smudge resistant as advertised.

No cover for the glass and the back does not allow for charging on a flat charging station, also does not stay in the holder well, luckily the case can withstand the drops

You're correct in saying this case does not include a built-in screen protector, but we include those raised edges around your screen to assist with drop protection. We also don't perform any third party testing and are therefore unable to guarantee the compatibility between our case and another company's wireless charger. I purchased the American Flag cover. There are not 13 stripe or just 50 stars on this cover. Looking at it it wouldn’t be difficult to adjust the printing to reflect the accurate amount of Stars and Stripes. The width of the stripes and the spacing of the stars can easily be adjusted to get those correct amounts.

I tried other cases and was having an issue with my screen protectors being broken at least once a week. Any time my phone fell face down the screen protector would crack. I thought I’d invest in the Defender because it’s built to protect the screen. Since I began using it I’ve dropped my phone face down several times and haven’t had a cracked screen yet. So I consider that a big win.

My husband has been using the OtterBox Defender case since he started using IPhones that was iPhone 4 He is now up to IPhone 14plus !! He has tried a couple of other brands and only used them for a few days !! He absolutely loves his FLAG OTTERBOX I RECENTLY PURCHASED FOR HIS BIRTHDAY!!! He is 87 years old !! Super protective case. IPhone has survived a number of drops from waist height without a scrape. Very durable case. This is my second defender case the first one was used on an iPhone 8+ Pro.
